An XXL shirt is one size larger than an XL which is one size larger than a Large. The cut of the garment is the same it's just done "on a larger scale" no pun intended. A 2XL garment is cut differently. In fact, it's half a size bigger than an XXL.
An XXL and a 2X are not the same, even though the size charts are identical. A 2X Big is cut larger, especially in the mid section. I order both the XXL and the 2X, the 2X is substantially larger around the midsection. The chest and arms fit about the same.
A: An XXL is generally the largest size in Misses clothing (very rarely do you see misses/straight sizes in a 20). An XXL fits like a 1X in my experience. An XXL is NOT the same as a 2X.

Some stores will consider a medium to be a size 10, while others a size 12-14. As an average, a Medium is likely to be a around a size 12. Generally a Small will be an AU 8-10 and a Large an AU 14-16.
With styles for plus size ladies, the fit model is generally a size 18 or a 2X. For this reason, samples are created generally in sizes 8 or 18 to be fitted on the fit mode.
What Is 2XL or 3XL? Traditionally, 2XL and 3XL were intended to be shorthand for XXL and XXXL. However, with the increasing availability of plus sizing, these abbreviations led to confusion and are no longer used here at Outdoor Research.
