A 34C and a 32D are actually the same size cup size. Do men know this? Do all women know this? A 34C and a 32D are known as "sister sizes" which means that the cup will fit the same amount of breast tissue and the same applies for their other "sister sizes" of a 36B, 38A, 32D, 30DD, 28E.
(Ex: A 34C cup is the same as a 36B.
A 32C is one cup size smaller than a 34C. That also means a 34 is two cup sizes bigger than a 30C, and so on.
The general rule is if you go up a band size, you should lower the cup size i.e., a 34C is bra size equivalent to 36B.
If C cups are the midpoint or medium breast size indicator on the cup size scale, then D cups mark the transition towards larger breasts and DD cups are the exact opposite of A cups.
34D,34D, and 34C are cup volumes of a bra. The numbers (34,35,36) are sizes of the straps while A, B, C, and D are sizes of the cups. A is the smallest, B and C are larger than A and D is the largest of all. A 34D has the same cup as a 38B, 36C, and 32DD.
With standard sizing, you can expect a 32C and a 32D to be bracketed together as a Small, a 34C and a 34D to both be Medium, a 36C and 36D to equate a Large, and so on, up through the fit range.
A 32D is considered large because there's a four-inch difference between the bust and band measurements. D is also the largest among the standard bras sizes.
For example, a 38C means a chest measurement of 38 inches and a breast measurement of 41 inches. The difference between the two measurements is 3 inches which is a C cup. A 38D would be a chest measurement of 38 inches and a breast measurement of 42 inches. The 4 inch difference in the two measurements is a D cup.
For example, a 36C is the same cup size as a 34D and 32DD. This is because as the back size, or the number, gets smaller, the difference between your back and bust increases. This causes the cup size, or the letter, to become larger."
Remember, when you go up and down band sizes your cup size changes. For an example, a 32C and a 34B are the same cup size. The only difference is the band size. The 34 is a bigger band size than a 32.
For example, if you wear a 34C, your Sister Size UP would be 36B.
SO is a 34D really the same as a 32DD? Fundamentally yes. The same wire is used (and for a 38B, 36C & 30E, and if you were using a moulded cup then that would be the same size.
However, a 34B is also equivalent in cup volume to a 30D, 32C, and a 36A. All three aforementioned sizes are a B cup despite what their cup letter indicates. This is called sister sizes. Take a look at our bra size chart below for reference.
A 32D has a bigger cup than a 32C. The width is supposed to be the same. Thus, depending on personal comfort, brand, or material, you may use 32C or 32D.
34 D is an average cup size but relatively bigger than B and C cups of equal band size. Cup size is determined just by the differences in the underbust and over the bust measurements. If there is 1” difference between the measurements it denotes an A cup, for 2-inch difference, it is a B cup and so on.

For some reason, we have been brainwashed into thinking that boob sizes go from A-DD, DD being the biggest boob/bra size. DD is actually at the lower end of the scale, there is still E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, and K cup above that.
When people talk about breast size, they often describe it in terms of bra size. The average bra size in the United States is 34DD. This figure can vary by country. In the U.K., for example, the average is 36DD.
For example, in the chart pictured below, all sizes in B CUP row – 28F, 30E, 32D, 34C, 36B, 38A – have the same cup size, but the bands change width. Each of those are 'sister sizes'.
