There is no "good" or "bad" bra size - every woman's body is different and a wide range of sizes are considered normal and healthy. 32DD (also known as 10DD in some countries) is a relatively common size and indicates that the underbust measurement is around 32 inches and the bust measurement is around 5 inches larger.
Small: 28D,28DD, 30B, 30C, 30D, 30DD, 32AA, 32A, 32B. Medium: 32C, 34AA, 34A, 34B, 36AA, 36A, 36B. Large: 32D, 32DD, 34C, 34D, 34DD, 36C, 36D. X Large: 36D, 36DD, 38AA, 38A, 38B, 38C, 38D, 38DD, 40AA, 40A, 40B, 40C, 40D, 40DD.
A 34C and a 32D are actually the same size cup size.
While DD cups are considerably quite large for a 12-year-old, it isn't impossible for it to happen. You can inherit large breasts from your parents, and with what modern people eat, hormones that affect growth have been affecting the size proportions of young girls.
So sure, a DD can be classed as a big cup size, but only if it's on a bigger band size too! And frankly, it's not even that big – the average US bra size is 36DDD and from experience, with more than 90% of the population wearing the wrong size, it could be that that is just the best-selling size.
And when it comes to 32B bra size, it is on the small side of average. "B" cup is considerably small than average, and it is considered being small bra size. 32 is the band size which is the measurement around your chest, under the breasts where the band of the bra sits.
Is D or DD cup bigger? There's no difference in the spacing between single and double letter sizes, a DD is one full size larger than D, just like E is one full size larger than DD.
This bra size would probably be on a size 8 - 10 clothes size. There are a lot of teens and ladies who are this size. In my opinion 32D/ 32DD is an enviable size to be.
Each inch you breasts project from your ribcage is a cup size. For example a 36C, 34D and 32DD are all the same cup size, but a 34D breasts project out 1 inch less than a 32DD but because the different from the band to the cup has increased they are both the same cup size.
Sizing. The 32DD is 1 cup bigger than the 32D.
As you can see in the chart above, a 32C can also be a 34B | 36C also works as a 32DD and vice versa.
A 36 DD and a 32 DD are the same cup size, but the band size is different. The band size refers to the measurement around the ribcage, just under the bust. A 36 band size is larger than a 32 band size, so a 36 DD bra will be bigger in the band area than a 32 DD bra, but the cup size will be the same.
During the bra manufacturing process the same exact bra cup may be paired with different band lengths to create multiple bra sizes. For example, the same exact cup is used to make 38A, 36B, 34C, 32D, AND 32DD bras!
Bra Cup Sizes
The further down the alphabet a letter is, the larger the cup volume, starting with AA as the smallest.
Part of being cautious is purchasing sizes that fit the generic scope of their customers. This means buying a few A cups, more B cups and C cups, and fewer D Cups. There are less women with A and D cups thus the store will have less of those.
For less than one inch you are a AA cup, for one inch you are an A cup, for two inches you are a B cup, for three inches you are C cup, for four inches you are a D cup and for five inches you are a DD cup.
Fast Fact: What is with the size DD? Before the days of Kim Kardashian, Sofia Vergara and Amber Rose, women had a thing about not wanting to appear 'too big'…and manufacturers realised they would sell more bras sized as DD rather than E, because alas, it sounds 'smaller'.
After size D you can either go up to size DD which is the bra size equivalent to size E, size DDD which is equivalent to size F, and size DDDD which is equivalent to size G.
Globally, a natural female breast has an average size somewhere between a large "A" and a smaller "B" in the US size system. According to European or Australian classifications, this would be a "B".
When our participants were asked what their ideal breast size would be, the C cup was considered the most popular, with 39% choosing it above other sizes.
