9. Is 75 % an "A" Grade In Australia? For primary, secondary, or senior secondary schools (high schools), achieving 75% is a "B" grade (Good). For most universities or colleges, earning a grading score between 75 and 84 per cent is a Distinction (D) grade, the second-best Grade.

They have and give First Division at 60% Marks and Distinction / Honors at 75%.
Distinction grade equivalent to A Level grade between B and C (225 points). Formerly equivalent to A grade – 270 points.
A distinction is usually the highest grade on the grading scale. It is equivalent to A or A+. Students who obtain marks above 75% usually get distinctions – students who have put in real effort and show brilliance in academics.
In short, the number of students and even the percentage will vary from class to class or university to university. However, about 5%- 25% of each class are roughly expected to get the top grade – a distinction.
D – Distinction. Students who get between 75% and 84% receives a 'Distinction'.
B+ (75-79%): Work of this standard is competent and methodical, indicating a clear understanding of the topic and an ability to critically engage with the debates in the field of inquiry.
What's a 75 in letter grade? A 75% in letter grade is equivalent to a C, which is considered a passing grade. Generally, a C is somewhere between 70 and 79 percent. Some schools use letters with "+/-", meaning that a C- is 70-72 percent, a C is 73-76 percent, and a C+ is between 77 to 79 percent.
Most of the universities in Australia will consider anywhere between 70 and 84 score as a Distinction which is equivalent to A in the states.
The Honours Award recognizes those students who have obtained an average mark of 80.0% to 84.9% in their course of studies in each of grades 9-12. The Honours with Distinction award recognizes those students who have obtained an average mark of 85% to 100% in their course of studies in each of grades 9-12.
D – Distinction
This grade is typically allotted to students who receive between 75% and 84%. It means that you have fulfilled the learning requirements and have conveyed a high-level understanding of the course materials.
Graduating with a distinction
If you complete a bachelor's degree without an honours component, you may be eligible to graduate with a distinction, provided your WAM is over 70. For double degrees, you may be eligible for a distinction for one or both of your degrees.
A first-class degree with a distinction grade is also known as the First and is considered the most outstanding achievement in the undergraduate course.
