The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
Black Noir Is An Improved Version Of Homelander
In the comics, however, Homelander is supposed to be the strongest 'Supe' in the world, and this statement holds true until the end of the series when it's revealed that the actual strongest 'hero' in The Boys is Black Noir, Homelander's improved clone.
Superhuman Strength: Black Noir is strong enough to kill Homelander, needing just one punch to completely destroy his jaw. He is stronger than Homelander, who could hurl a fighter jet with one hand and kill Queen Maeve with just one punch.
Homelander's clone is able to kill him because they share the same powers. Here's where Ryan comes in: Homelander's son may not be his clone, but he's close enough. Ryan's powers likely rival that of his father's, which suggests he's the only one capable of finally doing away with the villain.
There is little to dispute Homelander's status as the most powerful Supe. While there are different characters whose niche powers prove useful, such as Mesmer or Doppelganger, in terms of sheer power, there is no one more powerful than the star-spangled hero himself.
However, Noir's fear of Soldier Boy is surprisingly bigger than his loyalty to Homelander. When Noir escaped from Vought due to the news of Soldier Boy returning, Homelander was genuinely distraught over the news as he believed Noir always had his back.
Make no mistake, Homelander is more powerful than Soldier Boy, but can he take him out in a fight? We don't think so. Besides, unlike Homelander, who probably wants all the credit for himself, Soldier Boy isn't above asking for help.
Although Homelander is one of the main antagonists of the comic series, he is not killed by his archenemy Billy, but is instead killed by Black Noir. His name literally means "A person from one's homeland". It is suggested that the homeland he's born from would be America (due to his outfit).
Well, Homelander was created as an obvious copy of Superman, so their powers are virtually identical, except Superman is more powerful as you mentioned. The two differences are that Homelander has no apparent weakness to a specific substance, no “kryptonite”, and that he can't see through zinc instead of lead.

Powers and abilities
In the comics, Black Noir is a long-time member of the Seven, almost always shown in silhouette with his face obscured. His powers include super strength and supposed skills as a pilot. He is stronger than even Homelander; Mother's Milk states he can "[...] bench a dozen Mack trucks".
Similar to Captain Marvel, Thor is one of the more powerful Avengers and Marvel characters in general. Given that Thor has more experience fighting in both the cosmic universe and on Earth, Homelander has no chance against Thor.
Given his physiology as an Eternal, Thanos, even without the Infinity Stones, could outmatch Homelander, as he's stronger and can take way more damage as he's practically invulnerable. Unlike Superman, Homelander isn't nearly as indestructible as he likely could be killed.

Superhuman strength: Soldier Boy is not as strong as Homelander, Stormfront, or any other supes. However, he is still relatively strong, similar to a super-soldier. Superhuman Speed: Soldier Boy is able to dodge bullets as well as punches and blows easily.
While Homelander is considered one of the most powerful superpowered beings in his universe, against Captain Marvel, the leader of the Seven wouldn't stand much of a chance, as the Marvel hero would destroy him without much effort.

Homelander is the leader of The Seven, the strongest Supe in the world, and the archenemy of Billy Butcher, the leader of The Boys. With the face of a movie star and the power of a god, Homelander is considered the greatest superhero alive.
He knew that the odds of Soldier Boy surviving whatever was to come would be high, and that his chance of return would be inevitable. Knowing this, it would make sense for Noir to align himself with someone of great strength. His alliance with Homelander is likely deliberate and motivated by survival.
Homelander's display of insecurities and instability is similar to men with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), which is characterized by major mood shifts, impulsivity, and an unstable self-image.
In the comic, Soldier Boy is a cowardly Supe without much power, certainly not enough to kill Homelander, so the show is charting its own course here.
In addition, Black Noir sent the Boys photos of him committing the atrocities to incriminate Homelander, and get Vought-American to kill him. Homelander then tries to kill Black Noir in a rage but ends up failing as Black Noir kills him by breaking his jaw and opening his face.
Homelander's True Strength Is Immeasurable
But Homelander's true strength is his durability. He can fly at supersonic speeds through objects, including the aforementioned plane, and when Queen Maeve attacks him with a sword, it breaks clean on his head.
As powerful as Black Noir is, this nut allergy ultimately brought him down in The Boys season 2. Queen Maeve shoved an Almond Joy into his mouth to stop him from attacking Starlight and kicked his EpiPen out of reach. The nut attack didn't kill Black Noir, but he was left in a vegetative state at the end of season 2.
Kimiko also forms tight friendships with Hughie and Starlight. Though she isn't always a fan of her powers, she never hesitates to use them to protect the people she cares for. Kimiko is the strongest hero of The Boys, with heightened levels of superhuman strength, durability, speed, and reflexes.
