We think kids ages 9 and up could likely watch Avatar as long as language and the overall violence is not a concern for a sensitive child.

The MPAA rated the new Aladdin PG for some action/peril, so it's quite possibly appropriate for some 4- and 5-year-olds. If your child is one who enjoys a good chase scene and can get caught up in the magic of a story then I wouldn't hesitate to take them to this film.

I would not recommend this film to people with children under 12.
Children aged 5-8 years will be scared or disturbed by many of the scenes and characters from Aquaman mentioned above. Younger children in this age group might be scared or disturbed by many of the scenes and characters from Aquaman mentioned above. Aquaman is OK for children in this age group.
Avatar is Awesome
The characters are funny and they act like children. The show never has any super violent moments and there is nothing sexual at all. Some of the older characters are wise like Uncle Iroh and provide great role models for kids. Highly recommend for young kids.

Great story and visuals but may be a bit frightening for kids under 7. PG -13 rating seems excessive.
Can a 1 year old enjoy Disney World? Absolutely! Unlike other theme parks in Orlando, Disney World has many many rides that 1 year olds can enjoy. Most of these are found at Magic Kingdom, but every park has at least one baby friendly ride.
Not for Young Kids
The underlying story of this movie is seriously twisted for a kids movie. Child abduction, emotional abuse, and a stabbing scene just to name a few. My 5 year old could not watch the end after the stabbing because he was so scared.

Due to the constant strong language and some moderate violence during the action scenes, we would not recommend this movie for younger children, instead suggesting that an age range of kids aged 10 and over is more appropriate.
