Much like the famed Caped Crusader, Butcher is unrelentingly obsessed with his mission of vengeance and justice. While for Batman, this is to rid Gotham City of crime, Butcher's idea of justice is to rid the world of superpowered beings.
Butcher is tough and smart but Batman is tougher and smarter. There's no situation that Butcher can put Batman in that he couldn't get himself out of and Batman's relentless pursuit of his enemies means it's only a matter of time before he finds Butcher and takes him down.
Not only is Homelander faster and stronger than Billy Butcher but he's also more durable, surviving some of the comics' most brutal injuries. Whilst Billy Butcher can hold his own even without his powers, he is still no match for Homelander in a straight fight.
Professor Pyg is a supervillain who appears in comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman.
William "Billy" Butcher is a charming but cunning C.I.A. agent, and the ruthless leader of the Boys.
William J. "Billy" Butcher, or "Billy the Butcher", is a fictional character and antihero in the comic book and Amazon Prime series The Boys, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
1 Homelander
There's little doubt that Homelander is the strongest character in the Boys. No matter how much is thrown at him, what kind of weapon they can conceive, or how many other superheroes get in his way, Homelander's power is unwavering.
Powers. Superhuman Strength: Butcher's physical strength was augmented by Compound V. Hence, he was able to easily lift a grown man and knee him in the groin with enough force to hinder his performance. He crumbled a pistol in his bare hands, and one-shot Big Game with a single headbutt.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir.
No matter the media, the Joker remains Batman's greatest nemesis. On film, Jack Nicholson's Joker set the bar for villainy in Batman.
Steel is a superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. He is a genius engineer who built a mechanized suit of armor that mirrors Superman's powers, and initially sought to replace him after he was killed by Doomsday.
General Glory is the name of two DC Comics characters. The persona is mostly used by writers as a parody of Marvel's Captain America with exaggerated "patriotic values" and a sidekick called Ernie (aka Ernie The Battling Boy), who was similar to Bucky.
6 Lady Shiva
Shiva's unmatched skills in hand-to-hand combat have made her possibly the most feared warrior in the DC universe. Batman has never defeated her in straight combat, and she has earned a deadly reputation among other talented fighters.
NUMBER 1: JOKER
Batman's greatest enemy is the Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime is a master of chaos and insanity, regularly devising complex schemes to bedevil Batman and Gotham City. His unpredictable nature and willingness to cause destruction make him an intimidating villain for the Dark Knight.
While many may point to the injuries inflicted on Batman by Spawn, Bane, or Hush as the closest he's come to death, one other fight takes the cake. When a Predator showed up in Gotham on a hunt, anyone reading the comic knew he would eventually come into conflict with Batman.
Yari's super slash (right+punch+punch) is pretty effective at stopping Butcher from doing anything. If you get just the right distance, you can use the super slash three, four, even five times in a row before you get too close to Butcher.
Butcher And Hughie's Powers Still Aren't Permanent
While it might seem that their deaths are right around the corner, The Boys already revealed how season 3's Billy Butcher powers can remain intact.
Powers and Abilities
Superhuman strength: Soldier Boy is not as strong as Homelander, Stormfront, or any other supes. However, he is still relatively strong, similar to a super-soldier.
Homelander. By every standard, Homelander is considered the strongest super-abled person alive, being feared and respected (but mostly feared) by virtually every other member of The Seven.
In combat between the two, they are fairly equal, but Homelander's heat ray vision cannot cause the same level of destruction as quickly or easily as Soldier Boy. Another aspect that makes Soldier Boy a worse villain than Homelander is his unprocessed trauma.
Butcher's back story is left vague, but we do meet his parents in the The Boys' second season, and they are obviously British. We may not know everything about Butcher, but we definitely know his country of origin.
In The Boys #71, Butcher strikes a disturbing smile as Hughie stabs him in the chest, as the Supe-hunter turned villain had nothing left to live for and tricked his former protégé into killing him. The shocking moment was a fitting end for Butcher.
Billy Butcher was a ruthless CIA agent. Since the death of his wife, he has a strong hatred for superheroes. One of them raped her, and months later the fetus tore her belly.
