Master Chief Just Lost His Virginity In the Halo TV Series, and Fans Are Divided - IGN.
So, to summarize: Master Chief lost his virginity to Makee while Cortana and Halsey watched. Exactly the sort of thing, I'm sure, fans hoped they'd get to see when Paramount+ first announced a live-action Halo series.
Given that this conflates asexuality with forcible castration (yikes!), that's a pretty divisive viewpoint in itself. Meanwhile, others are just making fun of the whole situation, congratulating Master Chief on finally losing his virginity after 21 years of canon, and cracking jokes about incel gamer stereotypes.
In the original Halo games, Master Chief is very much an asexual character. He never shows interest in any other character in such a way, it's just not a part of who he is.
Cortana is a fictional artificially intelligent character in the Halo video game series. Voiced by Jen Taylor, she appears in Halo: Combat Evolved and its sequels, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Infinite.
Apparently, the Master Chief is such a skilled lover that Makee, the Covenant spy, is all set to renounce her allegiance to humanity's enemies.
Master Chief's love interest in the Halo series is Makee, who is known as the Blessed One to the Covenant. Her relationship with Master Chief was developed when they bonded as the only ones that are capable of interacting with the artifacts, which allows them to be in perfect sync with one another.
The Halo Spartans are asexual persons who understand connection, camaraderie, love, and intimacy at a level so much deeper than the fickle and fleeting layers of sexual attraction because their survival, and that of every human in the galaxy, depend on it.
Does Master Chief ever shower? He does! In Halo: The Flood, a novel that takes place within Halo: Combat Evolved, there's a section where Master Chief described his two-minute hot shower as “very good.” He wears, essentially, sweats when he's in his room, and immediately grabs for his armor when asked to meet his boss.
Cortana was the AI assigned to Master Chief before the first game and had been his trusted companion for many years. The flirtatious nature of the relationship between them has created a unique dynamic for game characters. The two of them share a bond of love that few can experience.
John and Makee are seemingly the only two beings in the galaxy who can interact with the artifacts. After experiencing a shared vision of the mysterious Halo station in Episode 6, the two characters give in to the hormonal rush and have sex in Episode 8.
During the course of the episode, one thing leads to another, and John finds himself locked in a passionate kiss with the indoctrinated Blessed One. The two then proceed to relieve each other of their clothing, and the rest is now, quite literally, history.
The community has worked out that Master Chief is biologically 49 years old in 2560, as he was born in 2511. As many fans will know, John was genetically mutated to become a super-soldier by Dr. Halsey.
After decades of celibacy in the games, Master Chief had relations with a woman in the show. He does it with Makee because they feel a connection as the “chosen ones” or whatever they are. Nothing explicit is ever shown.
There has to be enough space within the character for you to feel you can inhabit it as a player. And also, just from the standpoint of personality, Chief is a stoic character. He's a man of few words. If he speaks too much, it goes against his innate persona.
After Master Chief relays the news that his superiors will allow Makee to interface with the mysterious Forerunner artifact, she thanks him with a kiss which leads to the two sleeping together.
In the latest episode of Halo, titled 'Allegiance', the Chief has sex with a human-turned Covenant spy while Cortana just sort of... stands there and watches.
Spoilers follow.
The latest episode, Allegiance, has the Chief hook up with Makee - a human kidnapped by the Covenant at a young age and deemed to be their chosen one. Not that it's shown: the two humans are seen uncovering and touching scars, before waking up together later in bed, their intercourse merely implied.
Halo begins with the Chief waking up from cryo sleep. Though he doesn't complain, he's actually in incredible pain the whole time.
While Athenian women might have expected to marry for the first time around the age of fourteen to men much older than them, Spartan women normally married between the ages of eighteen and twenty to men close to them in age.
Its never been said that the Spartan augmentations made them sterile, however their sex drives were severely reduced. However, technically speaking they should be able to have a child. The child should turn out to be a regular human unless the augmentations include tampering with DNA.
Kelly-087. Kelly-087, voiced by Luci Christian in Halo: Legends, Jenna Berman in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and Michelle Lukes in Halo 5: Guardians, is the Spartan-II's scout and the Master Chief's best friend. Kelly is noted for her incredible speed, even before augmentation.
John-117 was an ordinary little kid before he was plucked from his home by Dr. Catherine Halsey and secretly ushered into the SPARTAN-II program. It's hard to think of him as a regular little kid given how he is now a massive soldier in hulking armor.
He will get angry when others try to help him. Master Chief is the ideal soldier in capabilities, but his attitude can get in the way of greatness. Perhaps Master Chief works alone to protect his comrades. Regardless of his reasons for it, it's abundantly clear that Master Chief like to fight alone.
