Clea was born the daughter of Prince Orini, legitimate heir to the rule of the Dark Dimension, and Umar, sister to the then-current ruler Dormammu.
The daughter of Umar and niece of the demonic tyrant Dormammu, Clea has been, sporadically, ruler of the Dark Dimension, the mystical realm to which Dormammu had been banished and that he subsequently conquered.
Clea has a somewhat complicated family history. Her father, Orini, was the original ruler of the Dark Dimension, while her mother, Umar, is the sister of the Dread Dormammu.
Clea is the daughter of Umar, making her Dormammu's niece and a potential heir to the throne of the Dark Dimension.
Umar is the daughter of Sinifer and the sister of Dormammu, who is usually depicted in a demonic form. When Faltine spawn, they usually take the duplicate form of their parents, but she and her brother Dormammu expressed individual distinctiveness from their parents.
Clea, also known as Clea Strange, is a fictional character and superheroine from Marvel comics, appearing as a major character in the Doctor Strange comics, and the main protagonist of the Strange comics.
Doctor Strange's third eye (the Eye of Agamotto) in the comics, according to Bustle, represents wisdom of the sorcerer Agamotto and his Vishanti. The Eye allows him to see the true intentions of his enemies and break down all magical illusions.
Doctor Strange's third eye appeared on his forehead involuntarily not long after using the Darkhold, which corrupts any being that uses it, regardless of how powerful or pure they are. It pulled Agatha Harkness and Scarlet Witch into villainy, and Doctor Strange grew a third eye despite limiting his exposure to it.
In a post credits scene, Strange is once again walking happily through the West Village, clearly over his third eye incident, when a woman approaches him. It's none other than Charlize Theron, playing Clea, the daughter of Dormammu, the big, fiery villain from the first Doctor Strange movie.
Her link to the Dark Dimension and the Faltine gives her a slight edge over the Scarlet Witch, who was not born an extraterrestrial or extradimensional being, and Agatha, who is only able to live a long life by absorbing the energy of the other witches in her coven.
Doctor Strange has always been destined to win out against Clea because her powers come from dark magic. Until now! Yesterday, Strange #1 ushered in a new era. Doctor Strange died in The Death of Doctor Strange and someone had to assume the role of Sorcerer Supreme.
Clea Strange makes it perfectly clear that she is more powerful than Doctor Strange ever was, especially as Sorcerer Supreme of two worlds.
Dark Dimension
Doyle Dormammu is the illegitimate son of the Dread Dormammu.
Strange again scattered Dormammu's essence throughout the dimensions, but Dormammu, anticipating this ploy, released the Mindless Ones on Earth; when Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four used his technology to force the Mindless Ones back, he inadvertently drew Dormammu back to Earth.
In Doctor Strange, Dormammu is described as being "beyond time", meaning he is seperate from The Earthly Plane, he lives in his own universe, the dark dimension. Now there are two options. There is a dark dimension for every Earthly Plane universe, and hence, there are infinite Dormammus.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has historically introduced new characters in post-credits scenes — like Harry Styles' Star Fox in Eternals — and Clea is no exception. Her arrival makes things interesting for the MCU, especially considering how much of her history is tangled with that of Doctor Strange.
The purple woman at the end of Doctor Strange 2 is Clea. She is played by Charlize Theron. In the first post-credits scene, Charlie Theron's Clea appears to Doctor Strange, telling him that they need to repair the Incursion he caused between universes.
Sofia Strange (Earth-616)
It's unclear whether or not Clea is a variant of Doctor Strange. However, she is also known as the Sorceress Supreme or the Mistress of the Dark Dimension and was also Stephen's prize pupil - just like Stephen was to the Ancient One before she died. Clea is also the niece of Dormammu.
History. Stephen Strange, Jr. was the son of the sorcerer Doctor Strange and his former pupil Clea. The same day Clea told Stephen she was pregnant, he abruptly vanished without a trace.
Umar the Unrelenting is the younger twin sister of Dormammu and like her brother is a powerful demonic creature that seeks conquest, often competing with her brother for position as the ultimate being.
Doyle Dormammu is the son of Dormammu and one of the first students of Strange Academy.
Umar was spawned along with her older twin brother Dormammu by Sinifer, a Faltine clan leader. Beings of pure magical energy, the Faltine exist in their own dimension.
America Chavez is shattering barriers in the comics universe and beyond. She is the first lesbian Latina superhero with her own Marvel Comics series. [...] She isn't the typical heroine, and she isn't the Latina you usually see on screen."
