If C cups are the midpoint or medium breast size indicator on the cup size scale, then D cups mark the transition towards larger breasts and DD cups are the exact opposite of A cups.
To begin, measure over top the breasts and just under the breasts. The underneath measurement is the bra band size, and the over top subtracted from the band is the bra cup size. A one inch difference between these is an A cup, two inches is a B, three inches is a C, a four inch difference is a D.
So sure, a DD can be classed as a big cup size, but only if it's on a bigger band size too! And frankly, it's not even that big – the average US bra size is 36DDD and from experience, with more than 90% of the population wearing the wrong size, it could be that that is just the best-selling size.
DD is one cup size larger than D. After the core cup sizes of A, B, C, D the alphabet continues as the sizes get larger, but with some sizes having double letters (such as DD or FF)
A c cup ranges from 33 ⅘ to 43 ¼ inches. The band size for a C cup is 3 inches smaller than the bust size. C cups breasts can look quite different in different human bodies. If the person is thin then it would look bigger.
Simply put, the difference between a D cup and a DD cup is that; a D cup is larger than an A, B or C cup and slightly smaller than an E cup. On the other hand, a DD cup is slightly larger than an E cup, yet still smaller than an F cup.

For example, if your bust measurement is 34" minus your band measurement of 29" = 5". This 5" difference is a DD cup.
E is higher than DD. In the U.S. E is not used; sizes generally go D, DD, DDD, G. (There is no DD in the EU's system.)
If there's a 1-inch difference between bust and band you're an A cup; 2-inch difference is a B cup, 3 inches is a C cup, 4 inches is a D cup, and so on. For example, if your bust measurement is 37 inches and your band is 33 inches, you would be a D cup because of the 4-inch difference.
A C cup has a 3-inch difference between the bust and band size while a D cup has a 4-inch difference. C cups will weigh a few pounds less than D cups. Both of these cup sizes can look bigger on a petite woman and smaller on a full-figured woman. Depending on the band size, these cup sizes can be considered average.
Apparently, the biggest bra size ever recorded is 102ZZZ, which, to put it plainly, is absolutely crazy (that poor woman).
For example a 36C, 34D and 32DD are all the same cup size, but a 34D breasts project out 1 inch less than a 32DD but because the different from the band to the cup has increased they are both the same cup size.
There is a difference of between 2cm and 2.54cm (depending on where you shop) between each cup size, so an AA is an inch smaller than A and DD is an inch bigger than D.
C cup size is often considered the ideal breast size. It is big enough to give you a voluptuous frame yet small enough to not cause any chronic pains associated with bigger sizes. However, some people consider it to be too small to be deemed the ideal cup size.
It might seem confusing, but yes a DDD is the same as an F— sometimes they are labeled differently based on the brand. After size D you can either go up to size DD which is the bra size equivalent to size E, size DDD which is equivalent to size F, and size DDDD which is equivalent to size G.

Each size corresponds with a measured difference of 5cm, for example a size 10 corresponds to the under bust measurement of 68-72cm, size 12 is 73-77cm etc. Your dress size however, doesn't necessarily correspond to your bra band size.
When your bra cup is too big you may find that your breasts bounce around inside the cup. This may be more noticeable in molded cups than in unlined cups. If the band still stays in the same position, this means that your cups are too big.
34 is the measurement around the chest, DD is the cup size. 34 is a small/medium and DD is large.
Example: Bust = 37 inches, Band = 34 inches, 37 – 34 = 3 inches. That's a 34C! If the difference between band and bust measurement is 1, then your cup size is A. If the difference is 2, then the cup size will be B, so on & so forth.
So bras usually use the alphabet for cup sizes, and traditionally speaking, they go A. which is the smaller size, and then B is one cup size bigger, and then C is the size bigger than that, and so forth and so on. So in the basic sense, yeah, C is bigger than B.
