There are also some practices in Islam that help Muslims enhance their mental health. These practices include (1) daily prayers, (2) fasting during the month of Ramadan, (3) helping others, and (4) daily reciting of the Holy Quran. When Muslims are praying, they are talking directly to God.
Islam values the importance of good mental health and emotional wellbeing. The Qur'an can be used as a guide to those suffering from emotional distress and aims to lead people to a meaningful quality of life. 'There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment' (Hadith).
Depression is not sadness. Spiritually, depression is a loss of vitality, an emotional death of the soul and spirit of a person, to where they become purposeless because of suppressing and despairing over their true selves.

We all experience difficulties in our life's and as Muslims we should know that this is a test from Allah. In fact that this is something Muslims firmly believe in, that going through difficult times is inevitable.
Some Quranic verses are believed to have healing impacts and are used in alternative therapy known as syifa' [34, 35]. Moreover, listening to the Quranic verses has been shown to be effective in reducing stress and anxiety during pregnancy [36], and in managing depression [37] and pain [38].
In the Quran
The Quran describes Job as a righteous servant of God, who was afflicted by suffering for a lengthy period of time.

ʿAmr ibn Hishām al-Makhzūmī (Arabic: عمرو بن هشام المخزومي), (570 – 13 March 624), also called Abu Jahl (lit. 'Father of Ignorance') by Muslims, was one of the Meccan polytheist pagan leaders from the Quraysh known for his opposition towards the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims in Mecca.
Allaahummak-finee bihalaalika 'an haraamika wa 'aghninee bifadhlika 'amman siwaaka. “O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.” (Tirmidhi).
Surah Al-Inshirah is also a beneficial Surah to recite when Anxious. Surah Rahman also has a calming effect.
We are never truly alone. Allah (swt) is always with us. He is closer to us than our jugular vein (Quran 50:16). There is no greater time to be closer to Him, than when you need comfort and recognition.
