It can be argued that Finn was attuned to the Force from his very first appearance in the saga with his unwillingness to kill innocent civilians as a stormtrooper and Kylo Ren seemingly sensing him during the massacre.
Finn, formerly designated FN-2187 ("Eight-Seven"), was a Force-sensitive human male stormtrooper who served the First Order until his desertion and subsequent defection to the Resistance during the First Order-Resistance War.
Following that reset of the status quo, Finn was eventually revealed to be Force-sensitive himself in The Rise of Skywalker but he never became an official Jedi Knight on-screen.
Once again, though, Finn's Jedi potential was only teased and never shown. The lack of this element came down to a film already too packed full of characters, planets, and more. Palpatine returned, yet his reemergence was never explained, nor were his Sith Fleet and the Final Order.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is jam-packed with all sorts of revelations, but it's the reveal that Finn actually is Force sensitive that's been most exciting for fans.
Now comes word from Total Film that the book confirms Rey was aware of Finn's Force abilities.
Weaknesses. Not very smart, mostly relying on instinct. Rough attitude. Can be vulnerable when he believes he has the upper hand or advantage.
All this appears to set Finn up as Rey's first Jedi Padawan, training under her in order to master the Force.
It turns out the Empire retrieved Luke's hand along with its lightsaber from Cloud City. C'baoth trained the Clone in the dark side, gave him Anakin/Luke's lightsaber, and called him Luuke because clones love the letter “u.”
Finn's lightsaber was built using parts from a Z6 riot control baton, a type of weapon he had experience wielding during his time as a stormtrooper. He also used one of these weapons to defeat the First Order Captain Phasma.
Who does Finn the human end up with? He becomes a local hero after slaying a fluffy dragon and ends up hitting it off with the king's daughter, Roselinen. Finn lives a long, fulfilling life in the pillow kingdom with Roselinen and their two children, but the idea of finding his way back home never leaves his mind.
Finn was adopted by Jake's parents Joshua and Margaret as an infant. He is originally believed to be the only human left in Ooo after the "Great Mushroom War", a mysterious conflict that occurred 1,000 years prior to the start of the series.
Although various other humanoids exist in the Land of Ooo, most have been confirmed by the show's creator, Pendleton Ward, to be mutants, such as Penny, Phil, or the Old Man Henchman. According to Pendleton Ward's FAQ page, even Finn is mutated in some way.
The next tier is called "Marginally Force Sensitive," which applies to those who have around 5,000 midi-chlorians per cell. These folks have subtle Force sensitivities, such as being able to sense danger or sense another person through the Force. Two examples of heroes in this tier would be Han Solo and Finn.
So does Finn love Rey? No, not like that. The films and comments made from those involved in making the trilogy have made clear that despite seeming to have some romantic tension between them, there is nothing going on between Rey and Finn.
Finn is unique in that when he hits opponents, they drop gold. Collecting this gold serves multiple purposes – it makes his special moves more powerful, and it lets him use his Down Special to buy items.
Purple. Only one person in canon wields a purple blade: the Jedi Council's Mace Windu. He uses it to decapitate the deadly bounty hunter Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and to deflect Darth Sidious' Force Lightning with it -- disfiguring his face -- in Revenge of the Sith.
The weapon had a kyber crystal at its heart, and emitted a yellow-colored plasma blade when ignited. The emitter matrix on Rey's weapon featured a rotating gear-like mechanism, which caused the emitter of the lightsaber to open up and allow the plasma blade through.
After losing his father's lightsaber on Cloud City, Luke Skywalker constructed a replacement with a green plasma blade, its hilt similar to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi's weapon.
Billaba became Windu's Padawan and trained under the Jedi Master in the ways of the Force. During her training, Windu allowed her to study Form VII variant known as Vaapad. She eventually became a Jedi Knight, renowned for her skills with a lightsaber and favored Form III when teaching other Jedi.
In a new excerpt, it's revealed that the names of Rey's parents are Dathan and Miramir. Dathan is the dad and Miramir the mother, if you were wondering; it's not always clear with these names from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Rey was born on Hyperkarn in 15 ABY during the rise of the New Republic. Her father, Dathan, was a bioengineered Strand-Cast cloned from the genetic template of Darth Sidious, the Sith Lord who ruled the Galactic Empire as Emperor Palpatine.
Finn's fear of the ocean is one of the most intriguing elements of his character. There's a lot we don't yet know about Finn, between the history of his past, the identity of his mother, his origin or where the hell he got that hat from.
However, no one knows how to get him home. Years later, Finn and Roselinen have married and had two children, Bonnie and Jay.
By the end of S03, Pen Ward revealed Finn to be 14. In S05E32 (“Earth & Water”), Finn's girlfriend, the Flame Princess' age was said to be 15, which hints at how old is Finn too because in S03E26 (“Incendium”), his best friend Jake said they were the same age.
