Origin. On January 26, 1964, Gilderoy Lockhart was born to a Witch as well as a Muggle man. He was the youngest of three children, with the remaining two being female Squibs. He was spoiled by his mother in his childhood, resulting in him becoming excessively vain.
Two squibs (both are minor characters) seen in the series are Arabella Figg and Argus Filch. Both seem to love cats and have the same initials.
Because he focused so much energy on charms, the Memory Charm specifically, he couldn't hone his other skills. This is on top of years of neglect and misuse of his powers -- arguably because of his overconfidence and ego -- which also made his power diminish greatly throughout his adult life.
Family Lineage
Though nominally a Muggle-born witch, Hermione is descended from the Dagworth-Granger family through her father's squib heritage.
In regard to the HP novels, most of the theory comes to fruition inside of Hogwarts. Squibs are forbidden from attending the school on the grounds that, since they have no magical abilities, they could not survive at the school of magic.
The fan asked the author if Aunt Petunia was a Squib (a non-magical person who is born to at least one magical parent) and Rowling replied: "Good question. No, she is not, she is not a Squib. She is a Muggle.
Because, if you follow the definition to the letter, if a child has wizarding grandparents, then he IS considered a pure-blood, even if his parents are NOT wizards themselves. That would mean that someone born to two "pure-blood" squibs is a pureblood, even though both parents have no magical affinity.
It is unclear as to Lord Voldemort's attitude towards Squibs. He had personally noted throughout his life that he aims to purge Muggle-born wizards and witches for "stealing" magic. However, as Argus Filch was allowed to remain in Hogwarts, it is likely they weren't prosecuted as blood traitors.
For obvious reasons, Squibs usually lead Muggle lifestyles, and are known to be sent to Muggle schools. Some voluntarily choose to cut themselves off from the wizarding world altogether, like Isolt Sayre's Squib daughter Martha.
If a pure-blood squib marries a muggle, then has a magical child. That child would be considered half-blood. If two pure-blood squibs marry, and have a magical child. That child would be considered pure-blood.

That means a child with two squib parents would probably be considered pureblood (assuming all of their grandparents are wizards). Pureblood fanatics would probably consider them as half-bloods though.
Albus Severus is the main character in "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." He's the ugly duckling of the family, is sorted into Slytherin, befriends Scorpius Malfoy, and isn't good at magic. He's nicknamed "Albus Potter, the Slytherin Squib."
Some maintain that Rowling is a Squib — a non-magical person unlucky enough to be born to a Magical family. Recall that his status as a Squib is why Hogwarts caretaker Argus Filch was always so bitter.
Squibs aren't only pure-blood - they can have a Muggle parent. If a wizard and Muggle have a nonmagical child, it's a Squib. In the Pottermore writing on Dolores Umbridge, it's mentioned that her parents (a wizard father and Muggle mother) have two children together - Dolores, a witch, and her brother, who was a Squib.
Figg is a Squib and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Apparently, she was stationed to live near Harry in order to keep an eye on him and the Dursleys.
Voldemort, seeking to punish Lucius Malfoy still further for the botched capture of Harry, demanded that Draco perform a task so difficult that he would almost certainly fail – and pay with his life. Draco was to murder Albus Dumbledore – how, Voldemort did not trouble to say.
It wouldn't work. Wands are means to channel the magic that is inherent to a person, or more specifically a witch or a wizard. Muggles, have no inherent magic and therefore can't channel it, in any possible way.

As a wizard or witch married to a Muggle, you can live and work with magic while enjoying the many Muggle cultural perks. You get the best of both worlds, as you'd have eckeltricity and fellytones to make your spouse happy, and you'd still get to send off owls and use Floo Powder.
