As it turns out, Gorr the God Butcher – who is the main villain in
Weaknesses. * Fire and Sonics: Despite All-Black ostensibly being vulnerable to heat and sonic vibrations, Gorr has withstood being immersed in lava and stellar plasma without sustaining injury. Dependency: Gorr's power is dependent entirely on his symbiote, which itself is dependent on the blood of gods for its power.
In Marvel Comics, Gorr's weapon of choice is All-Black the Necrosword, which was revealed to be an actual symbiote. In fact, it was the first of its kind.
The weapon also has a long connection to Venom, who eventually destroyed All-Back in King in Black #5 (by Donny Cates, Ryan Stegman, JP Mayer, Frank Martin, Jason Keith and Clayton Cowles). Characters such as Venom and Malekith have since created and wielded different versions of the Necrosword for various purposes.
But, the most dangerous power the Necrosword possessed in the hands of Gorr was, as mentioned, the ability for him to amass an entire army. Similar to how Venom had spawned Carnage from its essence, the weapon was able to spawn its own semi-sentient symbiotes that followed the will of whoever wielded the sword.
An Ancient Symbiote of Power
The first symbiote, All-Black, is an ancient amorphous weapon originating from the evil Knull. It left Knull when he became incapacitated, and bonded itself to Gorr, who becomes imbued with its superhuman powers, including flight as well as increased strength and durability.
Scarlet Witch
Her use of Chaos Magic would be significantly effective against Gorr's more combat-based attacks, and would allow her to easily overpower the God Butcher.
However, Thor and Jane are able to shatter the blade by remaking Mjolnir around it and then destroying the hammer -- snapping the blade, wiping out the shadow creatures and condeming Gorr to death.
Gorr's Daughter Love is Chris Hemsworth's Real-Life Daughter
In the film, Love is Gorr's daughter, who dies in vain on a barren desert planet in the midst of an environmental catastrophe. When Gorr finds his god living in luxury while he suffers, he vows to kill all gods by using a wish from Eternity.
Formed from evil, shadows, and the power of a deceased Celestial being, the Necrosword became the first symbiote. It is the precursor to Venom and Carnage.
Symbiotes were originally created by an ancient malevolent primordial deity named Knull. When the Celestials began their vast plan to evolve the universe, Knull, seeing that his "Kingdom" was being touched, retaliated by constructing All-Black, the first symbiote, and subsequently cut off a Celestial's head.
Superhuman Strength: Upon being revived from Eternity, Love has been bestowed with immense physical strength, as shown when she was able to effortlessly wield Stormbreaker, a weapon that can only be held by powerful beings such as Thor, Mighty Thor, Captain America, Thanos, and Gorr the God Butcher.
The first and most-powerful symbiote manifested by Knull from the living abyss, All-Black is metaphysically tethered to the undead corpse of the Celestial used to refine it, which supplies it with power in exchange for assimilating the souls of those slain by the Necrosword.
Gorr is implied to have killed a God of North America before coming to Eastern Europe in 997 CE. Upon arrival, he kills the Slavic gods Chernobog and Perun before attacking a young Thor. Gorr is able to overpower Thor, but the thunder god conjures a lightning strike that knocks both of them out of commission.
In the comics, Gorr killed all the Gods, barring a few. He created the Gobbomb, which, when detonated, would kill all divine beings. All at once.
After all, It's because some fans thought that Galactus is a celestial, but no. Galactus is not a Celestial. Both are considered space gods threatening to destroy the earth. Both are giants with unimaginable power and have very similar wardrobes in the comics.
But once called out on his cowardice by Thor, he quietly admitted to being afraid of Gorr, as he wielded the Necrosword and was capable of killing all gods for good - but downplayed the threat in order to maintain his mighty image, as well as to not cause panic amongst his peers.
Hercules' strength is rarely matched. There were times when he even overpowered the Incredible Hulk – a feat that not even Thor could complete. So, when it comes to physical strength, Hercules is the strongest. It was shown multiple times throughout comics.
While the two leave Eternity, Eternity's mark is still seen in Gorr's daughter, Love (India Rose Hemsworth). She is not only the daughter of Gorr, but also technically a daughter of Eternity.
Hela Understood Mjolnir's Power
That opens the possibility that Hela retained some hold over her former weapon, enabling her to shatter it. We don't know if she bonded with Mjolnir through some sort of Asgardian mysticism, but she possessed the hammer for much longer than Thor did.
Nick Fury seizes on that doubt in 2014's Original Sin, telling Thor "Gorr was right" and rendering the god of thunder so disillusioned that he's no longer able to lift Mjolnir. That act paves the way for Jane Foster to inherit Mjolnir and become the new Thor.
Meanwhile, MCU Phase 4 saw Stormbreaker being wielded by Thor, Gorr the God Butcher, Love, and anyone else who was strong enough to actually lift and swing it. This is because of the respective origins of both legendary Asgardian weapons.
The Scarlet Witch is powerful, but she's not on the level of Doctor Manhattan. There isn't a comic book character that is. Wanda would use her powers and may even take him out. However, he'll reappear, figure out Wanda's powers, and then she'll lose the fight.
3 Would Lose To: Gorr The God Butcher
Gorr has been alive for a very long time and in that time, he's killed countless gods. Each one made the symbiote that empowered him, the All Black, more powerful. Wonder Woman is powerful but she's never faced a being as powerful as Gorr.
4 Gorr Could Make Galactus Taste Defeat
Gorr, however, would be able to do more than just contest the World Devourer. Galactus is tough, but the All-Black can hurt Celestials. Galactus often underestimates beings who he sees as below him, as well, which is going to give Gorr the chance he needs.
