In 2017,
Any Hogwarts house would have been lucky to count Albus Potter amongst its numbers, but with apologies to Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Huffepuff – we reckon the Sorting Hat got it right with Albus – even if it was a rather big shock that one of Harry Potter's children ended up in Slytherin.
Though the Sorting ends up plaguing Albus Potter all through school as the only member of his family to set foot in Slytherin, he's there for a reason. And that reason has nothing to do with lineage or attributes or inclination. He just wanted to spend all of his time with Scorpius Malfoy.
It won't come as a huge surprise...
To no surprise, James S Potter has been sorted into Gryffindor, the house of both of his parents, Harry and Ginny Potter.
Albus Severus is the main character in "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." He's the ugly duckling of the family, is sorted into Slytherin, befriends Scorpius Malfoy, and isn't good at magic.
One of the main reasons Dumbledore belongs in Gryffindor and not Slytherin is because he is willing to sacrifice himself for others. Dumbledore fatally injured himself hunting down Horcruxes and even this did not deter him from his fight against Voldemort.
Albus Dumbledore:
He wears half-moon spectacles and a long purple cloak. He has a scar on his left knee which is a perfect map of the London Underground. As a schoolboy, he was in Gryffindor house.
Harry is the Heir of Gryffindor (though his powers have been bound by his father when he was a baby), Neville is the Heir of Hufflepuff, Meghan (OFC, daughter of Sirius) is the Heir of Ravenclaw. Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Tonks.
Scorpius Malfoy
He joins Hogwarts at the same time as Albus Potter, forming an unlike friendship on the Hogwarts Express. This grows when the two of them are sorted into the same house, Slytherin. Unlike Draco, Scorpius focuses his Slytherin-like determination into his studies, being an avid reader.
Much of the plot hinges on Harry's tumultuous relationship with his son, Albus — a relationship that culminates in Harry saying, “Sometimes I wish you weren't my son!” And I knew, in my heart of hearts, that Harry would never say that. He just wouldn't.
In the Chamber itself, we see a large statue of a wizard, which Harry presumes is Salazar Slytherin. We also meet Tom Riddle, who is, as it turns out, the heir of Slytherin.
Draco Lucius Malfoy is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. He is a student in Harry Potter's year belonging in the Slytherin house. He is frequently accompanied by his two cronies, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, who act as henchmen.
Neither of them is Slytherin's heir. Although, as Dumbledore says, Harry's ability to speak Parseltongue is a skill accidentally transferred by Slytherin's actual heir, Voldemort, when he tried to kill Harry as a baby. So perhaps this is one myth with a bit of truth to it.
In a break with the tradition of Potters being sorted into Gryffindor, Albus is sorted into Slytherin alongside Scorpius. Both boys are bullied over the next years, with Albus perceived as failing to live up to his parents, and Scorpius being rumoured to be the son of Lord Voldemort.
Her real parents were Daneel and Dean Novak, Pureblooded wizards. Turns out Daneel was Tom Riddles younger sister, Daneel Riddle. Of course, the Riddles were related to Salzar Slytherin himself, and this made Hermione the living heir of Slytherin. The problem with being a female Slytherin heir, is that they're cursed.
Because the biggest secret being kept inside the Princess Theatre is the secret love that the play's two young protagonists – Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy – have for one another. We are not the first people to notice this, and certainly weren't the only ones talking about it at this weekend's opening gala.
Delphini, nicknamed Delphi, is the titular main antagonist of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Although she initially introduces herself as the niece of Amos Diggory, Delphi is in fact, the child of Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange and has only one goal, restoring her father.
He was more jealous of Harry than he let on
It was easy to miss because Draco didn't often show his emotions, modelling himself on his cold, confident, calculating father, but J.K. Rowling has confirmed that a lot of his enmity towards Harry stemmed from envy.
Bellatrix used a powerful "love potion" on Voldemort and they have sex while he is temporarily obsessed with her. She then uses obliviate on him while he sleeps (you know, he falls asleep after his post-sex cigarette) and tells everyone that the baby is her and her husband's.
1 Peter Pettigrew
Peter Pettigrew represents the worst Gryffindor in the entire Harry Potter series.
Godric Gryffindor, the founder of Gryffindor house, was one of the most powerful wizards of his age, so powerful that he was said to be the greatest duelist of that era. Always ready for battle, Godric wouldn't just use a simple wand, he'd also wield a mighty sword.
The Heir of Hufflepuff was none other than Cedric Diggory, who was well on his way to fulfilling the prophecy of the Heir of Hufflepuff when he was tragically murdered by Peter Pettigrew.
Moaning Myrtle
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw.
He was a Gryffindor
Hagrid's Hogwarts house is never mentioned in the books, but, given his kindness, noble nature and bravery, it might not come as that much of a surprise that Hagrid was in Gryffindor.
Severus was Sorted into Ravenclaw, thankfully avoiding being sorted into Slytherin, as that would put a strain on his relationship with his best friend and true love, Lily Evans. While attending Hogwarts, it was noticed since his first day that the boy was a prodigy.
