Eons ago, babyfaces may have been an honest signal of youth – but since those with these features have a reproductive advantage, they've become exaggerated over time. They may also be a signal of good hormonal regulation, since holding on to some babyish features, such as small chins, is linked to oestrogen.
The babyface usually refers to adult faces that have a facial feature similar to that of infants (Berry and McArthur, 1985). It is usually defined as a round face with big eyes, high raised eyebrows, a narrow chin and a small nose.
: a usually rounded face that gives the impression of extreme youth and innocence.
However, both men and women rated as more attractive those baby faces that most closely conformed to the cute ideal: a large rounded forehead, large low-set eyes, a short and narrow nose and a small chin.
One universal feature people find attractive is a baby face. We are attracted to this feature because it signals that the person is youthful. We also tend to want to take care of and protect a person with a baby face.
According to the survey, men with blue eyes, oval shaped face, medium-thick eyebrows, slim, straight nose that should not be too long, straight eyebrows with curved ends, square jawline, brunette hair and average lips are considered to be the most attractive.
Usually this starts to occur in your mid- to late-20s, and you'll notice a reduced volume in chubby cheeks. Don't be so quick to lose your youthful roundness with drastic weight-loss plans, though.
More babyfaced individuals share certain features with babies, such as rounder faces, larger eyes, smaller noses, higher foreheads, and smaller chins. There are babyfaced and mature-faced individuals of both sexes, although women's facial anatomy tends to resemble that of babies more than men's does.

It's simply a fact that the vast majority of humans do not stop growing until they are about 20 years old. But your baby face just show clearly you have more growing to do. And many baby-faced people remain looking very young for a long time, so enjoy it while it lasts!
For a start, there's a ton of evidence that babyfaces are attractive to humans, so perhaps ancestors with the supermodel look had more suitors and more children (sexual selection). This is backed up by the fact that babyfaces are especially attractive in women – and women tend to be more baby-faced than men.
Most typically, a feminine face is oval or heart shaped, with a narrower, more pointed chin which accentuates this shape. Features are softer with more rounded contours. Dermal Fillers are one of the best ways to achieve changes in facial shape and contour.
The shape and appearance of a baby's face – and variety of expressions – often change drastically by adulthood, making it hard to model and predict that change.
It really depends, but typically around 14–15 years of age.
Week 7: Baby's head develops
Seven weeks into your pregnancy, or five weeks after conception, your baby's brain and face are growing. Depressions that will give rise to nostrils become visible, and the beginnings of the retinas form.
Many possible reasons point to why you might be holding onto immature behaviors, including being rewarded for being immature, being surrounded by other not-so-mature people, having an abusive upbringing, or not having mature role models while growing up, says clinical psychologist John E.
In particular, the nose should be straight and balanced, the eyes should stand out, the lips and smile should draw you in, and the cheekbones should round out your face nicely. When facial features are well balanced, the face appears harmoniously beautiful.
"When men were evaluating a short-term mate for a one-night stand they showed equal interest in her face and body instead of the face winning by a blowout." For long-term 75 percent of male participants wanted to see the face, but for short-term flings 50 percent of men chose face and 50 percent chose the body.
Being confident and smiling.
Nothing shines brighter than confidence and being more than comfortable just the way you are. Watching a woman be confident in her own skin is something that a man just cannot look away from. Not to forget - a good smile goes a long way!
According to UK researcher Dr. Alan Slater, babies prefer to look at attractive faces, just like adults. In a study he conducted at the University of Exeter, Dr. Slater and his colleagues took photos of various female faces and asked people to rate them for attractiveness, scoring them on a scale from 1 to 5.
