It's one thing to profess a distant belief in the faithfulness and love of a faraway God but quite another to experience His faithfulness and love as it intersects your desperate heart cry. It is quite all right to beg God to answer your prayers quickly. Begging is OK.
Looking at Scripture, it's clear that God wants us to acknowledge our need, not hide from it. We are free to seek help, even encouraged and commanded to do so!
Faith does not beg. Seeking God and crying out for Him to work in our life is different from begging. One, knows that God can and ultimately will work, the other is fearful that He will not work and is pleading for Him to change His mind. Seeking God shows perseverance and has a foundation of faith.
James 1:5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 3. Psalm 121:2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Our heavenly Father is nothing like the judge in the parable (Luke 18:6-8). God never grows weary of listening to his children. In fact, Jesus told us to keep on asking, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking (Matthew 7:7, AMP). God isn't deaf either.
Assured of God's Nearness
We can lean on God's promise to never leave us or to forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). It is only Jesus, while hanging on a cross, with the sin of all the world upon him, whom God had in fact abandoned.
Scripture tells us that silence can help us avoid sinning (Proverbs 10:19), gain respect (Proverbs 11:12), and is deemed wise and intelligent (Proverbs 17:28). In other words, you may be blessed by holding your tongue. Ultimately, refraining from speaking in certain situations means we are practicing self-control.
The Bible clearly illustrates how Christians are to respond to the poor and hopeless. Jesus says, “Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you,” in Matthew 5:42, and in James it says, “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.
We don't believe he can
For God to answer our prayers, we “must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). Our lack of faith can be a huge hindrance, not because God can't overrule our faithlessness, but because he won't. He never forces faith on anyone.
Ask God specifically for what you want.
Tell God what you want or need and ask Him to provide that for you. Be specific about your request. Even though God knows what you want and need, He wants you to ask Him for it. God can answer vague prayers, but being specific creates a deeper bond between you and Him.
BEGGARY is ever considered a social evil and a curse for society. Street beggars are a common sight in all our towns and cities, outside mosques and religious gatherings and any and every place of rush. One obvious reason for this evil is illiteracy, poverty and unemployment.
Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you; through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Large petitions with thee bring; For His grace and power are such, None can ever ask too much.
It's natural to ask God what's going on. But the truth is, God will never abandon you. He is always there for guidance and, yes, you can ask God anything. He already knows what's on your heart and, by lifting your questions and prayers to him, you're demonstrating true faith in him.
Yes, indeed, it is okay. In fact, it's not only acceptable, but it is exactly what Jesus commends. There are times when God will answer our prayers immediately. But there are many other times when we will need to ask and seek and knock, and then ask and seek and knock, and then ask and seek and knock....
Pray the Word.
Scripture gives us the authority to claim our miracle whether it is physical healing, reconciliation with a friend or loved one, financial provision, wisdom at work, or even something as seemingly impossible as world peace. Every situation imaginable has an applicable promise in the Bible.
“And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain….” (Revelation 21:4). Ultimately, there will be a glorious day when you will feel the Hand of God gently caress your cheek, wiping away the tears you once cried.
Psalm 34:18 is a wonderful Bible verse that tells us about God's care for us when we are hurting. It says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted... (NIV).” God is close to you, not far away. In fact, He's with you even now, and He'll be with you throughout the holidays.
It's been posited that God speaks to us through circumstances: blocked pathways, dreams, feelings, inspirations, music, nature, symbols, tender mercies, thoughts and visions. Some say he communicates through the community of believers, prayer, scriptures, sermons, wise counsel and His very creation.
Giving money to beggars will never teach them to be self-sufficient. It will encourage them to stay on the streets and beg all their life. Begging has become a pity market. Giving money to someone who has no contribution towards the society is stupid.
No because… Most people who are homeless are homeless for a reason. Either their families have chucked them out or they have spent all their money on drugs or alcohol. By giving these people money, all you are doing is giving them the means to continue their bad habit.
Proverbs 13:4 – “The soul of the lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.”
So while God is not human, he does get angry. And he has good reason for reacting to human behavior with anger. In fact, God wouldn't be good if he didn't have strong reactions to evil and injustice.
Bible Verses about being Quiet
Being quiet can be a struggle, but it can also be a good virtue to have. The Bible commends those who are able to keep the peace and listen, however, discourages being quiet due to timidness. Through God's words we can be empowered to speak out for it can lead to great things.
