In addition to being the brother-in-law of Félix and Agustín, Bruno is also the maternal uncle of Isabela, Dolores, Luisa, Camilo, Mirabel, and Antonio.
Bruno Madrigal is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 60th feature, Encanto (2021). Voiced by John Leguizamo, he is Mirabel's ostracized uncle who has the ability to see the future.
Agustín Madrigal is a supporting character in Disney's 2021 animated feature film Encanto. He is the husband of Julieta Madrigal and father of Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel. Having married into the family, Agustín has no magical gift of his own like Mirabel.
Bruno Madrigal: Bruno is Mirabel's maternal uncle as the younger triplet brother of Mirabel's mother Julieta. Due to Bruno keeping to himself, Mirabel has little to no memory of Bruno when she was a young child.
To prevent Mirabel from being shunned in the same way he was, Bruno left the family. However, he loved them too much to truly go away, so he stayed hidden in the walls of the house for 10 years, unbeknownst to anyone (except Dolores, who could hear him the whole time and knew he never left).
Bruno has a few Autistic traits. In the movie, he developed the form of ritual based off of a combination of superstition and possibly sensory stimming. He would “knock knock knock on wood” all around him which is a way of asking for protection in many cultures from certain spirits.
In Encanto, “Bruno” is the antagonist who brings misfortune to everyone.
She and her husband have three children: Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel, each of whom play important roles in Encanto. Julieta is next in line to lead the Madrigal family after Alma, and her caring and attentive disposition makes her perfect for the role.
Encanto 2 has yet to be officially confirmed by Disney, but recent developments at the House of Mouse might have given fans hope that we'll all be talking about Bruno again (if we even stopped). In February 2023, Disney confirmed sequels for Toy Story, Frozen and Zootopia.
Tio Bruno is Abuela's only son and is not married, but he makes a great uncle for his nieces and nephews. He has the power to see visions of the future and eventually left the family to hide in Casita's walls, attempting to save his family from his visions.
In Encanto, Mirabel is possibly more deeply connected to Abuelo Pedro than expected. According to a fan theory (via Reddit), Mirabel is the reincarnation of Pedro. Time and time again, the film connects Mirabel to her grandfather.
However, in the film, Mirabel doesn't get a gift, which causes problems in her relationship with Abuela Alma (María Cecilia Botero). Alma is constantly worried about losing the magic and letting down her family, and the village.
Why did Mirabel's door disappear? Mirabel's door disappeared because she was already where she needed to be in order to receive her gift. Remember, Mirabel's gift was keeping the family together through her amazing ability to understand and feel the family's happiness or lack of it.
Bruno is a nine-year-old German boy and the novel's protagonist.
Agustín Madrigal is a supporting character in Disney's 2021 film Encanto. He is the husband of Julieta, the father of Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel, and the uncle of Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio Madrigal.
Bruno leaving his family to protect Mirabel. Despite the way his family treated him when he was around and badmouthed him after he left, Bruno is not spiteful or vindictive and has a forgiving heart.
While Encanto doesn't have a traditional Disney villain, Dolores Madrigal seems the closest to fulfill that role, especially with how she tries to ruin things for her cousin, Isabela.
As for Mirabel not getting a door during her ceremony, it;s widely acknowledged that Mirabel's “power” is as the guardian of the family's magic itself and Mirabel being Abuela's successor, so instead of getting her own room and door, Casita's front door became Mirabel's.
Throughout Encanto, Mirabel has the nerve to figure out why the magical house is cracking, and she doesn't need supernatural gifts to accomplish her goal. Mirabel's gift is her intelligent determination, and she had that all along.
Alma Madrigal is the mother of Julieta, Pepa and Bruno and the grandmother of Mirabel, Isabela, Luisa, Camilo, Antonio, and Dolores, who all call her "Abuela". She is a kind woman who practically worships the candle that blessed the Madrigals with their magic gifts.
Alma Madrigal (often referred to as Abuela) is the deuteragonist of Disney's 2021 animated feature film, Encanto.
Essentially, Abuela and Mirabel have the same gift: to bring everyone together with love and support. This is illustrated by scenes like their heart-to-heart by the river, the song "All of You" which Mirabel and Abuela lead together, and even small details like Mirabel and Casita's very close bond.
Abuela Was In the Vision
When Mirabel and Bruno (John Leguizamo) are viewing his vision of her, she begs him to continue, so she can see the end. The vision shows flashes of the future, and eventually reveals an image of Isabel (Diane Guerrero) and Mirabel hugging.
As he later explained, he needed a lot of space to be able to conjure up visions of the future for people and, as a result, his room was vast, cavernous, and largely empty.
Unlike his sister or older cousins, Camilo, like Mirabel, has no memory of Bruno since his uncle was very secretive in the last years he was still in the family and disappeared when Camilo was only five years old. Camilo grew up knowing nothing about Bruno and only heard some rumors from his relatives.
