Appearances. Nezuko is the daughter of Tanjuro Kamado and Tanjiro's younger sister who is turned into a demon Despite Muzan Kibutsuji assumption that he has killed them all in his attempt to sire a sun-resistant demon, Nezuko survives as a demon with her mind mostly gone.
Nezuko reached her awakened form, also known as the highest level of her demon form, during a fight with a 113-year-old villain known as Daki. This fight took place in the entertainment district arc of the Demon Slayer manga and season 2, episode 13 of the anime series.
Like all demons, Nezuko has a special ability called a Blood Demon Art. Hers is referred to as Pyrokinesis, with which she conjures bright, pink flames. Nezuko's ability is devastating for other demons, as her flames have the power to cancel out other Blood Demon Arts.
While she might not be as powerful as Muzan himself, her overall strength makes her easily comparable to an Upper rank demon.
Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado's lives were forever changed when Muzan Kibutsuji, the King of Demons, slaughtered their family and left Nezuko to become a demon.
Nezuko's character was created by mangaka Koyoharu Gotouge to make the main character of Tanjiro Kamado more unique. Due to Nezuko being a demon, Tanjiro cannot bring himself to hate the demons he faces and instead finds himself in a gray zone of black and white morality.
Refusing to feed on blood initially made Nezuko weaker and gave her a greater gap to overcome when fighting other demons, but her willpower later contributed to huge power boosts during several battles, most notably when she used her awakened form for the first time when fighting against Daki, an Upper Rank demon.
His search came to an end when he discovered that Zuko was able to withstand the sun. While this is a great plot point, fans are confused as to how a demon whose main weakness is the sun can survive it. This is why Kamado Nezuko was able to stand in the sun despite being a demon.
In episode 6 of Demon Slayer season 2, Nezuko entered a berserk state to protect her brother Tanjiro, causing her body to develop into that of an adult. She loses her gag, grows a single horn and gains vine-like patterns across her body.
Abnormal Demon Physiology: As the "chosen demon", Nezuko has several unique demonic traits that set her apart from all other demons. Most notably, Nezuko can continuously restore her power without consuming any human blood like any other demon would need to do.
Nezuko doesn't stand a chance against the Upper Moon 3
Nezuko is undoubtedly a strong demon in Demon Slayer and she proved her strength repeatedly. One situation that really displayed her true potential was the fight against Daki. She underwent a transformation and thoroughly overwhelmed the Upper Moon 6 demon.
However, she wasn't immune to the sunlight initially, as she got burned badly at first. So, in conclusion, her coming from a Sun Breathing user's lineage and not relying on human substance are perhaps the reasons for her immunity.
Nezuko's rankings in the popularity polls are as follows: Nezuko ranked 3rd place in the first popularity poll with 3,319 votes. Nezuko ranked 11th place in the second popularity poll with 5,000 votes.
Master Swordswoman: As a member of the Hashira, Nezuko is one of the most powerful and skilled sword-users in the entire organization. Nezuko is a highly skilled master-level swordswoman, having been trained since birth to be able to defend herself using a katana.
Tanjiro certainly did a lot of good with his Water Breathing techniques, but his ability to use Sun Breathing both gives him an edge in battle and allows him to stand out among the incredibly powerful Hashira he fights alongside.
Due to her demon abilities, Nezuko can change her size/age and appear “mature” in a slightly older form or can even make herself look younger and smaller than a 12-year-old.
The muzzle serves as a representation of Buddhist practices. First, it gags Nezuko, preventing her from speaking like a Buddhist monk's vow of silence, but it also is there to suppress her desire to eat humans. Through a Buddhist lens, Nezuko's muzzle is the symbol of a Buddhist monk.
Since he didn't know anything about the Blue Spider Lily medicine, he needed others to find the plant for him by happenstance. This is the general reason why Muzan turned Nezuko into a demon. More specifically though, was the fact that Nezuko was of Kamado blood.
During Tanjiro and the rest of the Hashiras' showdown with the Demon King Muzan, Tanjiro is mortally wounded and dies. At the same time, Muzan receives a particularly fatal lil' booboo himself. As Muzan is about to shuffle off the mortal coil, he uses the last of his powers to turn Tanjiro into a demon.
The Wind Hashira is one of the strongest Hashiras in the Demon Slayer series. He played a significant role in defeating Kokushibo and was able to inflict damage on Muzan. Sanemi's sheer power and speed will be able to overwhelm Nezuko even in her final form.
– Sportskeida. As shown in Demon Slayer Nezuko's battle with the Top Rank 4 Demon Hantengu in Chapter 126, she is completely exposed to sunlight, making her immune to sunlight even if it kills her.
The now-iconic bamboo muzzle serves as a way of stopping Nezuko from using her teeth, and also keeps her from tasting human blood, which would cause her to lose control of herself.
1 Exploding Blood/Pyrokinesis Blood Demon Art
By far, this is Nezuko's most damaging technique when it comes to fighting her own kind.
Nezuko's official Blood Demon Art is called Exploding Blood. This Blood Demon Art allows her to explode anything that her own blood touches. However, it is only harmful to demons and not humans due to her personality.
Nezuko would be far stronger than Tanjiro in the base form in terms of pure physical abilities. But Tanjiro gained superhuman strength and speed owing to the activation of the Demon Slayer Mark. Comparing the two in these forms, Nezuko might still outperform in terms of speed and strength.
