Odin seems to possess a power far beyond any other Asgardian. He was a celestial that, unlike Peter's dad, used his power to birth a race of people who each carried a bit of his power within them. Asgard was his power core (ie the eternal flame) which is why it empowered the fire giant so much that he became enormous.
Odin Borson the All-Father is King of Asgard and protector of the Ten Realms. He is a member of the race known as the Asgardians, a group of humanoid beings from the pocket dimension of Asgard, the Realm Eternal.
Unfortunately, no Odin cannot take down a Celestial. How do we know this? Because he tried already when the 4th host of Celestials came back to earth to judge mankind. Odin and all the peoples of Asgard merged their consciousness into the Destroyer to try to make them leave and were utterly defeated.
Arishem appears in Eternals, voiced by David Kaye. He is the Prime Celestial, credited for creating the first Sun and bringing light to the universe. His purpose is to expand the universe, which requires having to sacrifice lesser life forms to do so.
Odin himself is hardly the first Asgardian, being the eldest son of King Bor, so it's safe to assume that Asgard and its people are far, far older than the Eternals.
Odin, therefore, also knew about the Eternals and, given Odin's demonstrated knowledge of MCU history, probably also knew about the Celestials as well. This Celestials = God story causes so many problems that it's going to take years for the MCU to fix them.
“The First”. Zuras is the eldest of the Eternals, a direct progenitor of the Celestials. He is also the father of Thena, and a warmonger against the Deviants. Humans have attributed him to Greek god, Zeus.
Portrayed by. Peter Jason Quill is a Celestial-Human hybrid who was abducted from Earth in 1988 by the Yondu Ravager Clan, and raised as one of their members, eventually building a reputation as the notorious intergalactic outlaw Star-Lord.
Thanos is an Eternal, this means that he belongs to a race of ancient and superpowered beings created by Celestials. Thanos is, however, different than all other Eternals due to carrying a mutation in his genetic code which manifested as the condition known as Deviant Syndrome.
Centuries later, Thor used the axe to kill Exitar, a Celestial that had been lured to Earth by the Apocalypse Twins, by cutting open his neck (in Uncanny Avengers #21, by Rick Remender, Daniel Acuña, and Dean White).
During the "Time Runs Out" storyline, the Beyonders are revealed to have killed all the Celestials in each reality across the multiverse, to perform an experiment by destroying the Seventh Multiverse.
If you are talking about movies, Old Odin can be defeated by Surtur, Dormammu, Hela, Strange, Ancient One and IW Thanos. But Odin in his prime was undefeated, unchallenged throughout the nine realms and beyond. This is been confirmed by Hela, Loki, Frigga, Laufey and Thor.
Odin has pretty clearly been shown to be demonstrable more powerful than the other gods. Odin's Odinforce has far outstripped anything Zeus's magical lightning bolts have ever done.
To answer the question right away, Zeus and Odin are not the same, nor have they ever been thought to be the same entity at any point throughout history. Zeus is the king of the gods in Greek mythology, whilst Odin is the king in Norse mythology.
Undoubtedly Odin knew a lot about the Infinity Stones and the powers they emit. That is why it is obvious that he was aware of Thanos, the Mad Titan. Now since Odin wasn't an open person, he kept a lot of things within his mind and brain, especially when things were related to his children.
Thanos was born on Saturn's moon Titan as the son of Eternals A'lars and Sui-San, the grandson of Kronos, the nephew of Zuras, and the grandnephew of Oceanus and Uranos. His brother is Eros of Titan. Thanos carries the Deviants gene, and as such, shares the physical appearance of the Eternals' cousin race.
Galactus is not a Celestial. Both are considered space gods threatening to destroy the earth. Both are giants with unimaginable power and have very similar wardrobes in the comics. Although they have almost identical identities, appearances, and goals, they have a huge difference that sets them apart.
Eros turned out to be 100 % Eternal, but Thanos did not. As soon as he was born, Thanos' mother noticed that he had Deviant genes and actually tried to kill him. Thanos was born with purple skin and pitch-black eyes, and his general physique was so much different than what they would have expected.
Ego was a celestial born outside of the influence of another celestial (i.e. he wasn't born of a celestial seed like the ones we now know are) and thus, lacked the typical physical form of one.
Does Peter Quill Still Have Powers? Technically, Peter Quill no longer has the traditional powers of a Celestial that Ego had. However, even when he wasn't on Ego's planet, he was still unable to access the light.
However, in the case of Peter Quill, he went from the son of the tyrant King of Spartax to the son of Ego, The Living Planet, now labeled as a Celestial entity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
8 Gilgamesh Is The Physically Strongest Eternal
Most of the other Eternals have some kind of special extra ability, but Gilgamesh doesn't. His special ability is that he's physically stronger than the rest of them.
Sprite is believed to be the weakest of all the Eternals as she can only change her appearance or create illusions to confuse the enemy. And that's her only ability to fight the deviants alongside the rest of her team members. However, she knows how and when to use her powers to bring down the enemy.
