A Deerhound named Cleod played the role of Padfoot, Sirius Blacks Animagus form in two Harry Potter films, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2005) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). The Deerhound is an extremely old breed and can be definitively traced back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
Padfoot may refer to: Black dog (folklore), one of many names for ghostly black dogs reported across the United Kingdom. Sirius Black, a fictional character from the Harry Potter universe, who can transform into a black dog.
Scottish deerhounds played a role in the making of the Harry Potter films. Over the course of several years, two of Kilbourne Deerhounds' dogs helped bring the character of Sirius Black, who could magically transform into a big, black dog named Padfoot, to life.
Another reference to the legend can be found in the same book, Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban, Padfoot being the nickname of Sirius Black, an animagus who can turn into a large black dog and mistaken as the Grim by Harry.
Snape enters Umbridge's office, and Harry yells “He's got Padfoot at the place where it's hidden!” in hopes that Snape will contact someone in the Order. Umbridge admits she was the one who sent the dementors to Little Whinging last summer.
His prized possession during childhood was his flying motorbike. Sirius was an animagus and was able to transform into a big black dog, (a Grim) which is an omen of death, at will. He, along with James Potter and Peter Pettigrew became Animagus to help Remus Lupin with his transformations.

There are a number of key differences between a Scottish deerhound and an Irish wolfhound. The Irish wolfhound grows larger than the Scottish deerhound, in both height and weight. Additionally, the Scottish deerhound is a newer breed compared to the ancient Irish wolfhound, though both breeds are relatively old.
To support Lupin, Sirius, James, and Peter secretly became Animagi, which allowed them to safely accompany Lupin during his transformations and keep him under control. Sirius's form is that of a huge black dog, from which his nickname Padfoot was derived.

"Padfoot" = A large dog, variously said to be a ghost, spirit, or monster, supposed to guard graves and to terrify travelers (NSOED). Sirius was given this nickname because his animagus form was of a large dog.
Dobermans are extremely fearless dogs with a keen sense of their surroundings. Extremely trainable and alert, this breed makes a great watchdog. Is it any surprise that they are Slytherins? With their thirst for adventure and their protective instinct, Dobermans will stop at nothing to keep their family safe.
Draco Malfoy
Draco was obvious for me. He is absolutely a Chihuahua. With his yip-like complaints, snooty disposition, and devilish actions, there was no doubt in my mind with this one.
The dogs are not mentioned in the books, but appear in promotional images from the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The dogs appear to be Scottish Deerhounds.
Animagus. Lily's animagus form is a Doe, coupling with her husband, James Potter who is a Stag. Severus Snape's animagus is also a Doe.
As a pack animal, or as a “lone wolf,” the wolf is a perfect fit for Harry's Animagus form.
Following both ordeals, Ginny grew into a confident young woman. Her and her friends followed in the footsteps of a previous generation, completely unbeknownst to them, and became Animagi at the age of fourteen, to support their best friend, Maisie Cattermole. Ginny took the form of a grey mare.

So how are Sirius and the Weasleys related? Phineas Nigellus Black is Sirius' great-great-grandfather and Arthur's great-grandfather, making the two men second cousins once removed. (Sirius correctly notes the relationship in Order of the Phoenix.)
Later on in life Marlene becomes the wife to Pure-Blood Wizard Sirius Black and the mother to their children Half-Bloods Aries, and Artemis Black. She is the sister-in-law to Pure-Blood Wizard Regulus Black, Muggle-born witch Vivienne Price and aunt to Half-Blood Renee Black.
The fifth year was boring for Sirius. Except for the fact that he had mastered the Patronus Charm, -his patronus was a black German Shepherd, and became an Animagi, -which was the same as his patronus, the fifth year wasn't very interesting.
