Silver is known for its soft, white surface and is Pandora's signature metal, with the majority of our jewellery created from it.
Pandora provides a universe of hand-finished and modern jewelry primarily made from genuine materials, including solid sterling silver and 14k or 18k gold.
At Pandora, we stamp our jewellery with quality marks to indicate the metal's purity and to guarantee that the metal is of high-quality. All our sterling silver jewellery is stamped with a capital “S” for silver, followed by the purity stated as pure silver parts per thousand: S925 (92.5% pure silver).
Using sterling silver alloys
It's standard practice to alloy pure silver with harder metals to improve its strength. Pandora jewellery regularly uses sterling silver: the world's most popular silver alloy.

All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but it will happen much faster when it comes into contact with agents such as perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin ph. The amount of tarnishing (oxidation) that occurs is dependent on the skin and care habits of the wearer.
We recommend that customers remove their Pandora jewelry before going to bed, showering, swimming or participating in physical activity. Your jewelry must not be exposed to chlorine or salt water, as this will dull the appearance.

The first reason why Pandora bracelets are expensive is that the jewelry is made of precious metals such as gold and sterling silver. These are valuable metals, and the charm bracelet is crafted out of sterling silver, 14k gold, or 19k gold, the value transfers to the jewelry, hence the high price tag.
Pandora bracelets have a unique feature that keeps the beads separated into three sections. There are two beads that don't move; they clamp on and stay put, keeping the beads on either side of them. These special beads are called clips.
Pandora is now the second most popular brand among luxury jewelry buyers, according to a fourth quarter luxury tracking study conducted by Unity Marketing. The charm manufacturer ranked second only to Tiffany & Co.
This means that as long as a demand remain, it will always have a resale value. It's an extremely valuable metal, and one that's often given to loved ones to show them how special they are.
A diamond's clarity grade refers to the presence or absence of flaws in the diamond. The fewer the flaws, or "inclusions" within a diamond, the more brilliant and sparkling it will appear. All Pandora's diamonds are rated VS2+, meaning that they will appear flawless to the naked eye.

Being exposed to moisture, skin and the air causes a chemical reaction that gradually over time, oxidizes the silver metal turning it from shiny silver, to a light yellow/silver color. If you do not properly clean your pieces after this occurs, that yellow coloring will again gradually turn to black.
Make sure to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming or sleeping to prevent damage.
