An Eternal–Deviant warlord from the moon Titan, Thanos is regarded as one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. He has clashed with many heroes including the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Fantastic Four, the Eternals, and the X-Men.
In the Eternals movie, Sersi said that the Eternals couldn't fight Thanos because they could only fight in conflicts that involved Deviants.
Thanos is not a robot.
Is Thanos a Celestial? Strictly speaking, no. Thanos is not a Celestial. However, he is an Eternal.
Film. Kro serves as the secondary antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals (2021), voiced by Bill Skarsgård. He is a Deviant general and an enemy of the Eternals. By assassinating Ajak and absorbing her powers, Kro and the Deviants begin to evolve.
However, due to their biological nature, the Deviants evolved and began to hunt and wipe out all life. To protect the sapient life required for the Emergence of a new Celestial, Arishem then created the synthetic Eternals and sent them to eliminate the Deviants.
In the MCU, Thanos already proved to be the single most powerful being in the universe, taking all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to defeat him in Avengers: Endgame. Thanos was not only one of the Eternals of Titan, but he was born with Deviant Syndrome, the Eternals version of someone born a mutant.
In the comics, Eternals aren't allowed to conceive a child. But this was proven otherwise when Thanos was born from two Eternals. As a result, he becomes host to the Deviant Gene, which alters his appearance but still technically makes him an Eternal.

After all, It's because some fans thought that Galactus is a celestial, but no. Galactus is not a Celestial. Both are considered space gods threatening to destroy the earth. Both are giants with unimaginable power and have very similar wardrobes in the comics.
Thanos has purple skin because he is an Eternal-Deviant hybrid. His Deviant genes make him look different from the rest of his species by giving him his brutish physique, height, and iconic chin. These Deviant genes likewise resulted in him having a completely different skin tone – purple.
No Eternals Were Snapped Away by Thanos - Here's Why.
In the comics, Thanos and Eros are born on the Saturnian moon Titan to two Eternal parents, A'lars and Sui-San. Eros is born without the Deviant mutation, but Thanos is born with Deviant Syndrome. They're biological brothers, but they look wildly different. So, in the original comics, Thanos is an Eternal, full stop.
In the movie, the Deviants proved capable of evolving more than Arishem had intended. By killing the Eternals and absorbing their cosmic energy, one of them, called Kro, gained a humanoid form and sentience. Kro used this to condemn the Eternals for hunting his people to the brink of extinction.
Thanos, however, drew the shorter stick and inherited the Deviant gene, still diluted in the Eternals and capable of emerging from time to time. That's why Thanos looks like a giant purple guy; Thanos' Deviant gene deformed his appearance.
The Eternals were instructed not to interfere with any human conflict unless Deviants are involved. There's a reason why that's the case. And that was the instruction from the prime Celestial Arishem.”
Peter Jason Quill was born in 1980 to Meredith Quill and Ego, making him a hybrid of human and Celestial. His conception was all part of a plot set up by his father to produce a second Celestial, whose power he could use to complete the Expansion, which involved assimilating millions of worlds into Ego's very being.
Kang is more powerful than Thanos
Thanos certainly presented the Avengers with a challenge, and his power continued to grow as he amassed the various infinity stones. Kang, though, seems to have almost limitless power once he can access even one aspect of his hyperadvanced technology.
Thanos garnered the nickname "Mad Titan", because he was from Titan and he developed a "mad" or blind love for Lady Death, willing to do anything to get her approval. For her, he even betrayed his own people, ordering the nuclear bombing of his parents.
Kang the Conqueror is human, but the answer is not as straightforward as we would have liked, as there are numerous versions of this time-traveling warlord, and some of them have been alien in origin. But the answer still stands, the main version of Kang from Earth-6311, Prime Kang, is human.
She is also the daughter of Zuras, and cousin of Thanos. In the comics, Thena had a long relationship with General Kro and had two sons with him, Donald Ritter and Deborah Ritter.
Now, it's not explicitly said in Eternals nor in any other MCU movie if Thanos knew about The Emergence in Infinity War or not, but he most likely did.
Zuras is the eldest of the Eternals, a direct progenitor of the Celestials. He is also the father of Thena, and a warmonger against the Deviants. Humans have attributed him to Greek god, Zeus.
Guilt-ridden over his betrayal to Arishem and his actions against his fellow Eternals, Ikaris leaves earth and flies into the sun, ending his life.
