Parents Need to Know
In the hands of new filmmakers, the meta-horror idea still has enough juice to produce a lightly flawed but wickedly entertaining shocker for mature fans. Violence is extremely strong and over the top, with lots of blood: spurts, sprays, and gurgles.
But don't be lulled by the star power and satire: The violence here is brutal, intense, and gory. Though the thrilling pace, high school drama, and steady jolts will likely keep young audiences watching, this movie is best for older teens and adults.

Despite its lackluster villain, Scream 6 manages to tell an entertaining and genuinely scary story that Scream fans will be re-watching for years to come.
The violence is very gory and graphic. The show had a TV-14 rating on the MTV channel, but now has a TV-MA rating on Netflix because of how gory it is. If you look away on some of the gory parts, I'd say 14+, but if you look away on a lot of the gory parts, I'd say 13+.
Scream is Rated R for strong bloody violence, language throughout and some sexual references which means it may not suitable for kids under 17.

If your teens and tweens have seen any of the previous Scream movies (1-4!), they will likely be ok with Scream 5. Ages 14 and up should be able to handle the scares and blood that this movie provides as long as they have been exposed to similar movies in the past.
Lots of graphic sequences of violence that include characters getting stabbed for about 21 times in a row in the torso during a single sequence, knives are seen going through mouth and hands in a very gory way, and throats are slit.
John Wick Chapter 4 is rated R for action, violence, language, and gore.
You will see dead body that got shot, swearing and sex.
For me when I watched the first episode it was bloody but not that realistic. But with the other episodes get ready to see inappropriate stuff and a lot of torture. I think you should be at least 13 years old to watch squid games. 2 people found this helpful.
Parents Need to Know
Expect tons of stabbings and slayings, bloody wounds, blood spurts, dead bodies, etc. A man tries to take advantage of a drunk girl at a college party (her friends rescue her), characters are shot and fall from high places, heads are bashed, and more.
The movie It has an R rating, which would suggest that it's best for the theater to be filled with adults, not kids, for this particular film.
Still, SCREAM 2 is a solid `R' for content, and therefore is not recommended for kids, tweens, and younger teens.
Developmentally, teens can handle dramatic and psychological suspense, but kids under 16 still shouldn't see slasher horrors, especially those that feature kids in dire danger or that have lots of gore. Mind the messages.
Along with being a fun commentary on the horror genre, the scariest Scream movies show the franchise can deliver terror as effectively as any other slasher. Ghostface has become an iconic horror movie killer since 1996, striking fear in audiences despite the satirical subversive subtext of the wider movie.
It isn't mandated by law in the U.S. But the MPAA recommends that and adult accompany children to PG-13. They have no requirement it be the parent or guardian.
