Rough Guides have released their annual list naming the most stunning countries worldwide, and all four countries making up the UK get a nod. Ireland has the number 18 spot, Wales is at 10, England at seven and Scotland tops the list at number one.

A recent reader survey conducted by Rough Guides placed England as the seventh most beautiful country in the world, ranking higher than Iceland, Finland and the USA.
Although the UK boasts a variety of landscapes, including the Lake and Peak Districts and rolling farmland, it just cannot match Canada's beauty and expansive rolling landscapes. The UKs ideal body image has thinner legs and arms, as well as a flatter stomach. Women with fuller lips, a slimmer face, larger eyes, and higher cheekbones are considered as being more attractive, and men with more rugged and masculine faces are again seen as being much more attractive.
Among them are cultural and historic attractions, countryside and landscape, people, cities, arts, and a reputation for being safe and secure (all of which are mentioned by more than half of all respondents in the six survey countries).
But the winner – making it the guide's most beautiful country in the world – is Scotland. It states: "And finally, the world's most beautiful country is revealed: Scotland. Who can deny that these wild beaches, deep lochs and craggy castles are some of the most wonderful and beautiful sights in the world?"
In 2022 the UK was ranked 16th out of 60 destinations for Welcome whilst the UK came 6th for Tourism and 3rd for Culture.
Living in Australia is much more affordable than in the UK. Moreover, Australia has a better economy, and the unemployment rate is also low, ensuring international students a job with almost no difficulties, making their transition and living in a new country easier.
