Will Dylan get his hand back? All you need to do is not break the cabin door while playing as Abigail. Now Nick, Abigail, and Kaitlyn will have difficulty opening the door, resulting in the monster chasing after them instead. Don't worry; the group makes it out okay, and Dylan will have both of his hands intact.
Since the lodge has a broken door, the other counselors can sneak in and hide without issue, which causes the monsters to focus on the hut instead. It is still possible to save Dylan if the monster bites his hand by using Ryan to amputate it before the infection spreads.
The first time you will be able to save Dylan is in Chapter 5 while playing as Ryan. If you broke into one of the cabins while playing Chapter 1 as Abigail, Dylan will get bitten by a werewolf in this chapter. You will be given the choice of whether you want to cut off his hand to stop the infection.
During Chapter 5, Dylan is bitten by a werewolf. He asks Ryan to cut his hand off in an attempt to stop the infection from spreading. Grab the chainsaw and cut off his hand. It's a gruesome job, but it'll do the trick.
Chapter 5: Cut Off Dylan's Arm
The first interaction you will want to choose as Ryan when given the choice between desperate and terrified is to choose desperate. The next choice you must make is to choose the chainsaw and cut off his arm. The chainsaw is guaranteed to get rid of the curse of lycanthropy.
If you choose Dare, Ryan will be told to kiss Dylan or Kaitlyn. If you choose Dylan, the two will share a quick kiss. Dylan's body language and facial expressions after the kiss make it clear that he's excited that this happened, as he sits back down and giddily smiles.
He has a tattoo of a half realistic, half geometric wolf on his left forearm, although it is partially covered by a T-shirt. Dylan wears a plain gray T-shirt with a band print "UNDANCE TOUR 1988" and rolled up sleeves, dons blue jeans, and charcoal slip-ons.
In the interest of ultimately keeping Dylan alive, Ryan will have to blow his hand off with the shotgun. Not ideal, but Dylan will survive. Of course, if you chose differently with regards to the cabin, Dylan survives and doesn't lose his hand.
When Ryan is given the option to shoot Dylan's hand off with a shotgun or use a nearby chainsaw, the absolute best option is to use the chainsaw. The shotgun blast is not guaranteed to lift the lycanthropic curse but the chainsaw will, allowing both characters to survive and move on.
Infecting Dylan In Chapter Five Or Eight
Do not cut off his hand, and he will stay infected. The second chance for Dylan to be infected depends on whether Emma has successfully been infected. If she has been, then werewolf Emma will bite Dylan in Chapter Eight.
If you decide to go with the Shotgun, you won't stop the infection, and eventually, Dylan transforms; thus, you won't be able to kill him during the second playthrough."
Conversely, choosing the Dylan path results in a few catcalls from the girls, including a jealous Kaitlyn, plus a sweet comment from Ryan about there being more to Dylan than meets the eye. Unfortunately, the kiss decision does not impact story choices that lead to different endings.
Didn't Release the Gun
Regardless of the choice, Kaitlyn will tell Jacob that they're keeping the gun to defend Nick. He'll get angry at the campers and storm off to find Emma. Meanwhile, Jacob will pitch the idea of wheeling Nick back to the lodge using the wheelbarrow.
Laura Kearney
Although she has at least four potential deaths in Chapters 9 and 10, the awesome female horror game protagonist Laura's inextricable link with Ryan makes her survival more difficult than many.
If you choose Dare, Ryan will be told to kiss Dylan or Kaitlyn. If you choose Dylan, the two will share a quick kiss. Dylan's body language and facial expressions after the kiss make it clear that he's excited that this happened, as he sits back down and giddily smiles.
If Dylan has been bitten, and you've chosen not to amputate his hand, he'll be infected with the werewolf curse. He won't turn until later in the game when he and Kaitlyn visit the scrapyard. Dylan won't change until after saving Kaitlyn, and it's a heartbreaking scene to see him fearfully turn into a monster.
Nick and Abigail both have crushes each other at the beginning of the game, but are too shy to make any move.
When the couple is running away, make sure to do the QTE successfully and then pick HIDE. Hold Breath until the creature goes away and Jacob is safe. After that, the Sports Coach runs away and gets stuck in a bear trap. To free him, people can either PULL FREE or PRY OPEN.
Make it to Silas and break the curse
Finally, when given the option to kill or spare Silas, have Laura break the curse by shooting the creature. This will mean any characters who remain infected will be cured and freed. And that's how you end up getting the best ending in The Quarry.
Shut the Trapdoor
If you play your cards right, the ladder rung Dylan loosens shouldn't be much of a problem later down the line, meaning you can pick to enter the trap door without worrying too much about the consequences.
This marks the last time we can interact with Nick's story before the end, but to truly save Nick, the werewolf curse must be lifted. This involves killing werewolf Caleb as he was the one that initially bit Nick.
Ryan Erzahler
Ryan never turns into a werewolf as he either kills Chris the werewolf and is cured or is killed by Chris.

Jacob Custos is one of the nine main protagonists and a playable character in The Quarry. He is one of the nine counselors at Hackett's Quarry summer camp. He was voiced and motion captured by Zach Tinker.
Nicholas Furcillo– Voiced by Evan Evagora
Evan Evagora is certainly the one Quarry actor with the fewest credits to his name. Even still, you probably know him from his breakout role as Elnor in Star Trek: Picard.
