Thor's parents (same father different mother's) are different in the comics and MCU, but all three are God's making him a god.
While Thor is the son of Odin and Freya, making him an official god, those who take on Mjolnir and the powers of the god of thunder can become demi-gods themselves– whoever is worthy of wielding the hammer can possess the power of Thor. The Mighty Thor, who's alter ego is Jane Foster, is, therefore, a demi-god.
Since the Marvel movies have emphasized Thor and his close, loving relationship with his mother Frigga (Rene Russo), most fans will probably be shocked to learn that the god of thunder is not Frigga's son. In fact, Thor is only half Asgardian.
Thor is considered an Aesir god. In Germanic or Norse mythology, an Aesir god is a warrior god, which is why Thor is commonly seen in combat in his later life. Thor is from a realm of gods called Asgard and a realm of humans called Midgard.
While his mother was variously known as Jord (“earth”), Hlödyn, or Fjörgyn, in all cases she was identified as a giant, making Thor half-jötunn. Thor's heritage provided an interesting contrast with his noted enmity for the jötnar.
Thor's Hate for Giants
Thor did not hate giants initially; his hate for them began when Odin invited the stone giant Hrungnir to Asgard. Odin commissioned Hrungnir to create all kinds of antics for the court's amusement when he had gotten drunk.
In terms of abilities, Zeus is pretty much Thor as his main weapon was lightning as well as his strength. Only Thor is renowned to be less smart. Odin was a god of many things. In terms of role as King of the Gods though, they are the same.
Odin. Odin is basically Thor and all the other Asgardians rolled into one—though he's even wiser, more experienced, and minus one eye. As the default King of Asgard, Odin is easily the most powerful being in his realm.
Thorr Odinson is a villain from the Avengers and is an evil alternate reality version of Thor Odinson as well as a member of the Tyrant Avengers.
Old King Thor is one of the most powerful variants of the character. When Old King Thor merged with the Phoenix Force, becoming Old Phoenix King Thor, his powers greatly multiplied. This solidified him as one of the most dangerous beings in Marvel.
Thor is Immortal, Not Invincible
In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor revealed that he was over 1500 years old. It's clear that age doesn't affect him the way it does normal mortals, as with most immortals, he is aging at a slower rate. While Thor will eventually die, it will take thousands of years for it to happen.
Loki is a god in Norse mythology. According to some sources, Loki is the son of Fárbauti (a jötunn) and Laufey (mentioned as a goddess), and the brother of Helblindi and Býleistr. Loki is married to Sigyn and they have two sons, Narfi or Nari and Váli.
According to Norse mythology, Thor dies in an epic battle with a monstrous serpent named Jörmungandr, also known as the Midgard (middle earth) Serpent. Both opponents meet their death in this battle, which is a part of the ultimate destruction of the current world, known as Ragnarök.
Loki – Thor's archenemy and adoptive brother. The son of Laufey, ruler of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, one of the "Nine Worlds" of the Asgardian cosmology. He is a master of spellcasting and trickery.
Depicted as an evil version of the Hulk from an alternate future (designated by Marvel Comics as Earth-9200), the Maestro possesses Bruce Banner's intelligence and the Hulk's strength and more malevolent personality traits.
They're both really bad but Zeus had the excuse of being corrupted and was under the influence of Pandora's box which made him act the way he did while Odin was always selfish and manipulative on his own naturally.
Unlike the others, Zeus is not worthy to lift Mjolnir, but through a loophole, he can anyway. If Mjolnir is to enter his domain, Zeus's MCU powers should override Odin's enchantment, meaning he can hold Mjolnir. He may not be worthy, but technically Zeus is the fifth character who can lift Mjolnir in the MCU's Phase 4.
Thor wanted Zeus and the other gods to help him fight Gorr the Godbutcher (Christian Bale), who—as you can perhaps guess from his name—poses a threat to all the gods. Zeus is uninterested in helping. Thor then kills Zeus using Zeus' own thunderbolt, which (frankly) feels like a bit of an overreaction.
He was shown to depower Thor and cast spells such as the worthiness enchantment as well as break Loki's spell to regain his memories. Now Odin did tell Thor he was stronger then him (Odin) which some interpret as Odin meaning Thor is stronger than Odin cause Thor now has his fathers power plus his own.
Well, it's about even. Hercules' strength is rarely matched. There were times when he even overpowered the Incredible Hulk – a feat that not even Thor could complete. So, when it comes to physical strength, Hercules is the strongest.
His lightning attacks could disrupt her energy manipulation abilities, giving him an even more significant advantage in battle. Thus, Thor is undoubtedly one of the few Avengers who stands a chance against the formidable Scarlet Witch.
God Of War Ragnarok: Thor's Wound Festers Because Of Jormungandr's Venom. The reason behind Thor's incurable wound is due to the Eitr imbued in the Leviathan Axe. In God of War, Kratos throws the weapon into the Lake of Nine and awakens the World Serpent, who rises out of the water.
Blaming Kratos for having brought the war to Asgard and for the destruction to his family, the God of Thunder was blinded by anger and refused to listen to his enemies, who unsuccessfully urged him to stop fighting.
Why did Kratos become weak in Ragnarok? The harsh winter and the lack of real motivation for combat might be some of the reasons why this new Kratos feels a bit less powerful than the one from the Greek days — even if he's still more than capable of beating the daylights out of a god or two.
