In the Star Wars film franchise, Obi-Wan does not have a known brother. However, he almost did. In the original Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi screenplay, Obi-Wan did have a brother, and it was none other than Owen Lars (Joel Edgerton)—Luke Skywalker's step-uncle and Anakin's step-brother.
Uncle and surrogate parent of Luke Skywalker in A New Hope, Owen and his wife, Beru, are killed by stormtroopers at their home on Tatooine. Finally, Kenobi concluded that the dreams he had as a boy were a vision of Owen Lars, his student's stepbrother. The fraternity he felt between himself and Owen was true, from a certain point of view. As Kenobi felt a brotherly bond with his former student, Lars too would be his brother.
Organa witnessed Palpatine's Declaration of Empire with horror, and began working in secret with Mon Mothma to create a network of resistance cells opposed to the Empire. He and his wife Breha adopted Leia, the orphaned infant daughter of Padmé and Anakin Skywalker, and raised the girl as their own.
Darth Vader never knew he had twins until that final battle on the second Death Star. The force ghost of Obi Wan had warned Luke to bury his understanding of Leia deep or Vader would be able to sense his feelings.
