Although Venom has some funny one-liners and the tone is light, it also has a lot of violence without real consequences, including torture. In fact, some of the scenes are more like something from a horror movie. This movie deserves its M rating and it isn't recommended for children under 13 years.
Well, Venom is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for language.”
Violence & Scariness
Intense comic book/fantasy violence. Little blood. Slicing/stabbing with Venom-made blades. Lots of punching, hitting, fighting, etc.
In addition to the violent scenes and scary visual images mentioned above, Venom: Let There Be Carnage has some scenes that could scare or disturb children aged 5-8 years. For example, the fighting or mass destruction scenes are brutal and vengeful.
Is Venom 2 Appropriate for Kids Under 13? I would not recommend Venom 2 for kids under 13 due to the violent nature of the film. However, if kids have seen Venom or like these types of movies, then they'll probably be fine. However, Venom: Let There Be Carnage feels like it's straddling the rated R line.

If your kids are good with distinguishing comic characters from real life, then Venom 2 shouldn't be too scary for them to watch. Older kids 10 and up should be fine with the level of scares provided by this movie.
Two big reasons go into Venom 2's PG-13 rather than R rating: a lack of blood and quick cuts.
Profanity: There are 13 scatological curses and one extreme profanity.
However, in a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Tom Hardy and Andy Serkis explained the thinking behind the decision and how there was consideration given to an R-rated version. "100% we considered it," Tom Hardy commented. "With all of these symbiotes, you know, you consider it.
Profanity (8)
The F-word is dropped once in the movie, very briefly. This is one of the few Marvel movies that have the f-bomb in it and remain PG-13. There is one use of "turd" at the end of the film.
Venom Was Originally a Woman Who Blamed Her Miscarriage on Spider-Man.
Is MrBeast Bigger Than DISNEY?! Rejoice Venom fans, because yes, there will indeed be a third Venom movie. Confirmed by Tom Hardy himself on his Instagram page, Venom 3 sees franchise scribe Kelly Marcel return to pen the script, who'll also be directing the threequel.
No blood. A character is burned to death in vivid detail and screams in agony as the flames engulf him and wipe him from existence. A man is cut in half by the antagonist of the film.
However, Tolmach cautioned that the PG-13 rating of the first Venom had led to box office success and they would not be looking to change the franchise's tone simply because it had worked for others; the sequel ultimately received a PG-13 rating.
We got word this morning that Sony's Venom: Let There Be Carnage will indeed be rated PG-13.
It seems Serkis is proud of how the PG-13's one allotted F-bomb fit into the story and added to the film's final moments.
Several characters getting eaten, beaten, stabbed, hanged, strangled, impaled, shot, and poisoned - all in a supernatural context and with no blood or gore. Most of the eponymous carnage occurs in such dim lighting that most of the gory details are hard to see, significantly reducing the grossness component.
There are a couple of kissing scenes.
The MPAA rating has been assigned for “intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material and suggestive references.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes a drawing of a nude woman from the back, a few kissing and flirting scenes, many scenes of fighting between humans and symbiotes ...
During the War of the Realms event, after Venom was separated from Eddie, the symbiote, in its humanoid form, joined the War Avengers (composed of Captain Marvel, Deadpool, Sif, Winter Soldier, Weapon H, Black Widow, and Captain Britain) to fight off Malekith's invasion.

Parents need to know that Deadpool is a superhero story aimed at -- and most appropriate for -- mature audiences only. It has lots of graphic violence, sex (including partial nudity), adult humor, and nonstop strong language.
Morbius | 2022 | PG-13 | – 2.7.
