XL is the 40 size which is generally considered as normal,standard and unique size in clothing. XXL is for 42 size. And large size is meant for 44 size in clothing.It is also named as XXXL size. Above 44, comes the Long Size i.e.46 and Above.
An XXL shirt is one size larger than an XL which is one size larger than a Large.
