First things first – if your rabbit has a messy behind, you'll need to clean the area as soon as possible. A soiled bottom could invite fly strike, a very unpleasant and potentially deadly situation in which flies lay their eggs on your bunny, and the hatched larvae feast on your bunny's flesh.

Fill a bathroom sink to about 2.5″ depth with lukewarm water. Mix in about a tablespoon of shampoo, and mix well. Being firm and gentle so that the bunny cannot jump and injure himself, lower his rear end into the lukewarm shampoo/water, and gently lave the solution onto the soiled areas until they are clean.

Obesity - overweight rabbits often struggle to clean themselves, and tend to move around less/sit in dirty bedding. Diarrhoea - if your rabbit has diarrhoea, they are very likely to develop a dirty bottom, especially if they are feeling too unwell to groom.
Use baby wipes.
Baby wipes are the easiest method of cleaning your rabbit without bathing it. Use baby wipes that are fragrance-free, alcohol-free and hypo-allergenic for best results. You want a wipe that is strong enough to clean your bunny without tearing, and which is soft so that it won't hurt your bunny's skin.
Urine and Feces
Have your children wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling their pet, and never let them eat while they're playing with him. Do not let them pick up rabbit droppings with bare hands, and if they come into contact with droppings have them wash right away.

Eliminating outside of the box
It is very common for rabbits to poop in small amounts in their housing enclosure outside of the litter box for territorial reasons. Also, sometimes poop may be kicked out when the rabbit jumps from their litter box.
Offer a treat
The easiest way to apologize to a rabbit is to offer them the treat. For many rabbits, this will immediately get you back into their good graces and they will no longer hold a grudge against you. However, even for rabbits who refuse the treat, the act of giving them something yummy doesn't go unnoticed.
Depending on the severity of the offence, a rabbit can hold a grudge from hours to several days. Sometimes, a simple stroke on the forehead or an apologetic treat can remedy a miffed bunny, but if your rabbit is truly offended, they can sulk for quite some time!
Hay can be given to your pet in a variety of ways including in a hay rack attached to the side of the cage, in a box or basket within the cage or exercise area, or even placed in the litterbox. Rabbits often pass stool when they are eating and placing some hay in the litter box can help with litter box training.
Unfortunately, if left to sit on wooden floors for a long time, rabbit pee can be challenging to clean and even do some significant damage. Rabbit urine has a high concentration of ammonia that will eventually start eating away at the varnish underneath.
