As Nick is taken inside, the player will control Abigail. Nick throws Abigail across the room when she gets close to him. With Nick's shotgun nearby, Abigail should shoot Nick because otherwise, he will decapitate her. Abigail will survive if Nick is shot, and Nick will run away and become a werewolf.
The easiest way to kill Nick is by letting Laura shoot him in Chapter 8. By not intervening, players can also use this death to help them kill everyone in The Quarry. Locking it in the freezer means that when the White Wolf is dead or the morning comes, Caleb will return to human form and die in the freezer. If you opt to apply pressure, it won't do much except hurt Nick. We'll then hear noises from the forest, with Ryan picking up the shotgun. You'll get an interruption here, with Ryan able to call out to the noises and warn them he has a shotgun. Again, this choice will have no consequences, so shout away.
As the discussion rounds off, we'll get an interruption, this time giving us the opportunity to kiss Nick. If we kiss him, the exchange between Nick and Abi will end, starting the next part of the scene (you can skip to it here).
The path will not be unlocked if Dylan's hand was not bitten in Chapter 5. This requires Abigail to leave the bags in Chapter 1.

Laura and Ryan can both die at the end, but as long as Ryan has blood smeared on his face that he found earlier, he will survive. You must kill the creature at the end to save everyone and get the best ending, or else Laura and the sheriff will die, and everybody will still be infected.
9 Dive In Or Help Abi
If you choose to help Abi, Jacob doesn't end up finding her until she's already back with the group. If you choose to dive in, Emma will swim away assuming you abandoned her. This choice won't change either Abi or Emma's paths.
SAVE PETE: If you choose to rescue Pete, Nick will run off into the woods and presumably escape the walkers. Clementine and Pete will head into the woods themselves, and in the "Next Time On..." sequence you'll see Pete contemplating taking his leg off.
It is still possible to save Dylan if the monster bites his hand by using Ryan to amputate it before the infection spreads. This is best done by choosing the CONFIDENT dialogue option and then the CHAINSAW to successfully cut Dylan's arm off.
Ryan will hear some noises coming from a bush and you can aim a gun at the bush. You will need to shoot the bush twice with the choices being Shoot gun, Insistent, Shoot Gun. This will result in the death of Jacob, who is hiding in the bush. Want us to remember this setting for all your devices?
