While fans don't know the state of Grogu's well-being in the sequel trilogy, his ties to Mandalore might explain why Kylo Ren doesn't kill him. It's likely Grogu stays with Din Djarin and the Mandalorians, and never returns to embark on his training with Luke.
The door opens to reveal that it is Jedi Master Kelleran Beq standing there, and he helps get Grogu to safety and off Coruscant.
It was believed that Grogu would eventually become a victim of Kylo Ren's destruction of Luke's Jedi Order. However, The Book of Boba Fett revealed that Grogu chose to follow the Way of the Mandalorian rather than become a Jedi, sparing him from Kylo Ren's wrath.
Grogu (Baby Yoda) was killed by Kylo Ren. Grogu joined Kylo Ren. This is the least likely as none of the students who followed Kylo became part of the Knights of Ren. They may still be at large.
Still, a small detail in the latest episode may reveal how Grogu survived the fall of Ben Solo (Adam Driver) and the destruction of Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) Jedi Order. Din Djarin/Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) is finally back, this time without his counterpart Grogu (AKA “Baby Yoda”).
Grogu is not in the sequel trilogy, so he must have died sometime before the beginning of Episode VII.
The Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin was dispatched by a member of Gideon's Imperial remnant known as "the Client" and Imperial Doctor Penn Pershing to capture Grogu alive, though the Client gave Djarin the option to return Grogu dead for a lower price. The assassin droid IG-11 was also dispatched to terminate him.

Ben is also sought after by three remaining Jedi, Hinnix, Voe, and Tai, who studied with him under Master Luke Skywalker. The journey that sees Ben Solo become Kylo Ren sees him killing Hennix, Ren, and his rival Voe in that order.
The Mandalorian picks up five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, which means the Empire has fallen and Luke, Leia, and Han Solo are still alive elsewhere in the galaxy. Additionally, this means that Rey and Finn have not been born yet and Kylo Ren (still known as Ben Solo as this point) is just a little kid.
Grogu's force sensitivity is the strongest reason that there is a bounty on him. While force sensitivity is the most important trait that he is being hunted down for, the imperial remnant might be seeking him to study the genetic traits, for cloning, or for training him to become one of them.

While we know the simple answer is that Grogu hadn't been created yet when The Force Awakens kicked off the third Star Wars trilogy in 2015, it's an interesting question from an in-universe perspective, and one THR recently asked The Mandalorian executive producer Dave Filoni.
Within "Star Wars" media, Grogu is the youngest known member of Yoda's species. He is one of three featured characters from this species. The other is Yaddle, the only other adult and female member of Yoda's species who appeared in "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" and "Tales of the Jedi."
Based on Grogu's flashback in The Book of Boba Fett, we know that he was on Coruscant in the Jedi Temple when it was attacked. So Obi-Wan wouldn't have made it across the galaxy to save the youngling in the moment. However, this doesn't mean he couldn't have somehow taken part in Grogu's rescue.
In true Star Wars form, though, the answer has simply raised more questions. The Mandalorian season 3, episode 4 revealed Grogu was rescued by Jedi Master Kelleran Beq, a character portrayed by Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best.
Beq survives the attack on the Jedi Temple, meaning that he's still out there during the narrative of the original trilogy.
By the end of The Rise of Skywalker, Rey had become the last known Jedi of the Skywalker Saga. With all that being said, Rey was not left as the last remaining Force-sensitive character.
With 10,000 space monks hanging around, it's pretty damn impressive that shortly after the fall of the Republic, Order 66, and Vader's Jedi hunts, there were only around 50 confirmed Jedi left according to current canon stories. That means that Order 66 and Vader were 99 percent effective at wiping out the Jedi.
Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN's audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.
The bolt didn't kill Kylo Ren because it wasn't a fatal shot - that is, it hit Kylo Ren in a place that would wound and not kill quickly. That shot hit him in the hip. That's muscle and bone, with no vital organs hit.
Even though Kylo Ren uses a red lightsaber, harnesses the dark side of the Force, and wears a cape, he is not a Sith. Because of that, he can never hold the title of Darth. Instead, he was just a chaotic mess of the dark side (until he eventually found his way back to the light).
The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ben Solo was seduced by the dark side of the Force and renamed himself Kylo Ren: leader of the Knights of Ren, champion of the First Order, and apprentice to Supreme Leader Snoke.
Coupled with the fact that the only other members of his species to have been seen in Star Wars canon were also especially powerful Jedi, this may begin to explain Grogu's true significance. Grogu may be the child of Yoda and Yaddle, potentially conceived purely to help preserve their incredibly rare species.
Grogu may not have chosen to stay with the Jedi, but The Mandalorian season 3 accidentally made him a Jedi knight - from a certain point of view. Grogu is much stronger in the Force after training under Luke Skywalker, having spent some time with the Jedi Master at his new Jedi Academy on Ossus.
The Mandalorian's season 3 premiere failed to acknowledge a significant emotional moment for its beloved character, Grogu. In the season 2 finale, Grogu left his adoptive father, Din Djarin, to train with Luke Skywalker, a moment that left fans emotionally invested.
