Darth Vader and Kylo Ren are both powerful Sith masters in the Star Wars universe, and the ability of each to wield the Force raises the question of who is the more powerful.
In fact, given the right circumstances, several of his peers would be sure to take him down a peg—or, at the very least, give him a worthy dueling adversary. With that in mind, there is little debate that Ren is perhaps the most dangerous Sith Lord to ever grace the screen.
1 Darth Sidious
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
He would go through many twists and turns in his life but it would be defined by his time as a feared Sith Lord. Revan is another Sith who is easily Ren's superior in just about every way. He was an extremely successful combatant and general.
While Vader was certainly powerful with the Force, Kylo Ren is arguably even stronger, being able to freeze people in their tracks without even needing to focus on them. He can even read people's minds, which is another thing that Vader couldn't do.
As the grandson of Anakin Skywalker (on his mother's side), one of the most powerful Force users in the galaxy, Kylo Ren has the appropriate bloodline to destroy Palpatine. It was a redeemed Anakin Skywalker who killed Palpatine the first time, and the same midi-chlorians flow through Ren's veins.
Ren has spent more time using the Force than Rey. Her abilities might have had a slight role to play in her survival on Jakku, but as far as we know, they were, by and large, dormant. Rey might have a more pure, light connection, but Ren is stronger with the Force...for now.
Darth Sidious was always stronger than Vader, which is why he ruled over him for almost 20 years and turned him into the Sith Lord he was.
Top-tier Jedi and some Jedi with specific advantages against Vader (OT Luke, Obi-Wan) could beat him by themselves.
WEAKER: SUPREME LEADER SNOKE
Supreme Leader Snoke is presented in The Force Awakens and Last Jedi as an extremely powerful Force user. He is easily able to move objects with his mind from great distances and has other abilities that suggest he is more than capable of defeating his Apprentice, Kylo Ren.
Sidious is also known as The Emperor of the Galactic Empire. He rose to power in the Senate as a Senator from Naboo and lived a double life as a Sith Lord. Sidious is extremely powerful and held very complex knowledge of techniques to master the dark side's force energy.
Truly, the most powerful Sith Lord was Darth Sidious, better known in his public persona of Chancellor (later Emperor) Palpatine. Through cunning and manipulation, Sidious killed his master to claim the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith.
Kylo and Rey (Daisy Ridley) also blasted the Imperial Crusier open trying to Force pull the Lightsaber away from each other, so clearly, Kylo Ren is an extremely strong Force-wielder. Nonetheless, it can be said that Darth Vader is the more powerful master of the Force for one key reason: his temperament.
Snoke, a mysterious Force-Sensitive humanoid male was a Supreme Leader in the First Order and a powerful master in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force, but despite the ability to call on the Darkness, Snoke was not affiliated with the Sith Order, who had been extinct for years.
Biography. Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo.
Aside from agility and telekinesis, Yoda could absorb and redirect Force attacks, like lightning. Because of his higher understanding, he would easily overcome Darth Vader in a fight, though that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a difficult battle.
Darth Vader defeats Darth Maul. The two Sith Lords engaged in a lightsaber duel, going through the volcano and onto a bridge situated over a river of lava, which collapsed, though they both survived and continued their battle.
Introduced in the first film in the original Star Wars trilogy, Governor Tarkin is the Grand Moff of the Galactic Empire and commander of the Death Star.
Vader, the only power who overrules him is papa Palpatine.
Luke lost control of his anger, viciously attacking Vader, finally beating him down and chopping off his hand with his lightsaber. Despite slipping close to the dark side, Luke refused to surrender to the Emperor.
In a section on Force abilities, it is said that Rey has an innate Force power called psychometry. Check it out courtesy of Screen Rant. “Some Force abilities require years of training, a form of instinctual aptitude, or a very strong connection to the Force to access.
The Rise of Skywalker novelization has confirmed exactly how Rey was able to take down Kylo Ren with ease and it all has to do with Chewie. A lot of Star Wars fans had argued this point for years, stating that the Wookiee was the one who shot Kylo after he murdered Han Solo.
Rey Skywalker
As the daughter of a clone of Darth Sidious/Sheev Palpatine and trained by Luke Skywalker for a short time, Rey had the basic skills to become one of the greatest Jedi ever.
