Muzan is another Pure Evil villain from Toshihiko Seki along with Lord Embryo.
At the very least, Muzan acted warm and caring to his found family, and the wife was clearly fond of her demon "husband." Even if Muzan views humans as cattle, a small part of him might have made an exception for this woman and child, viewing them as precious novelties and not just another meal.
Muzan isn't just an antagonist -- he is the source of all evil in Demon Slayer's world, and destroying him will stem the tide of darkness for good. Along the way, Tanjiro might learn from Muzan how to turn Nezuko back into a human -- a secret that Muzan won't give up easily.
He cannot even begin to comprehend how they fight with no regards to their own lives. Muzan is someone who lives in constant fear of his own mortality. Despite being the most powerful being on earth, he's always afraid, he's always hiding himself, and he's always alone. He's a coward ultimately.
Ever since he became a demon, Muzan's goal has always been to become a “perfect being.” He wants to rid himself of all his weaknesses. However, the one thing he cannot defeat is the sun. All demons have a natural weakness to sunlight since they disintegrate when exposed to it.
1 Muzan Regretted Killing His Doctor
He shows his most human side to fans, wherein he admits to regretting murdering his doctor. He comments that had he been patient, the doctor would have cured him, and he would never have turned into a demon.
Tanjiro Kamado
Tanjiro is considered to be Muzan's main nemesis throughout the series.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
Don't go! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! Muzan speaks his final words as he loses control over Tanjiro.
Since he didn't know anything about the Blue Spider Lily medicine, he needed others to find the plant for him by happenstance. This is the general reason why Muzan turned Nezuko into a demon. More specifically though, was the fact that Nezuko was of Kamado blood.
3 Nezuko Is The Friendliest Demon In The Series
A few demons have proven that they're capable of coexisting with humans in the series, such as Tamayo and Yushiro. However, Nezuko is the friendliest demon anyone will ever meet.
The two known demons who broke free of Muzan's curse are Tamayo and Nezuko. Tamayo was able to break free of the condemnation when Yoriichi fought Muzan, nearly killing him in the process. During this weakened state, Yoriichi let Tamayo go, free her from Muzan, and free her from the curse.
During his final struggle, and as a way to slow down the effects of the sunlight, Muzan adopts an enlarged demonic infant form, approximately as tall as a 3 story building when standing up. In this form he has very pronounced blood vessels across his body, small claws in his hands and fanged teeth in his mouth.
Trivia. Anne was originally planned to be Muzan`s older sister, who died by the hand of a Demon Slayer but that idea was scrapped, as the author knew practically nothing about Muzan`s early life. Instead, Anne became his wife, by which he had two children.
So the only reason Muzan is afraid of Tanjiro is because of the Hanafuda earrings he possesses, which acted as a reminder of his downfall. nxt. Hanafuda Earrings are a symbol of Sun Breathing users, traditionally passed down from generation to generation as a family heirloom.
It's true that in later episodes, Muzan also appears as a woman wearing a kimono when he's holding court over other Demons, most of whom are also wearing traditional Japanese clothing. This might have something to do with Demons (or “Oni”) themselves being part of traditional Japanese culture.
After he neutralizes Tamayo's poison and emerges from his flesh cocoon, Muzan's hair grows in length and turns white due to Shinobu's poison accelerating his age.
Haruka Shiraishi: Muzan's Daughter.
Muzan's Blood Demon Art is known as “Biokinesis.” It allows him to alter his body and shapeshift at will. Although all demons have this innate ability, Muzan elevates it by modifying his flesh and organs. Biokinesis is also the only reason Muzan has been able to hide from the Demon Slayer Corps for 1000 years.
The only Demon he despises the most is the Upper Rank Two: Doma. It is quite a shocker that the second most potent Demon in the Demon Slayer is not Muzan's favorite.
Akaza was also one of Muzan's favorite demons out of all his subordinates. The reason behind this is Akaza's extreme loyalty to his master.
Being a demon, Muzan is capable of living for many, many years. However, unlike other demons that have aged over hundreds of years. Muzan is well over 1000 years old.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni was the first Demon Slayer and also the one who invented Breathing Techniques in the first place. Yoriichi was born with the Demon Slayer mark and prowess in swordsmanship. His powers were beyond comparison as he defeated Muzan once and had him on the verge of death until he managed to escape.
Origin. The first demon that is said to have existed was Muzan Kibutsuji. The one who turned him into a demon was a generous doctor from the Heian Period, who wanted to save Muzan from death since, at the time, he was diagnosed with a disease which would kill him before he turned twenty.
Demon Slayer hints that consuming the Blue Spider Lily can negate a demon's vulnerability to the sun, which is why Muzan spent ages hunting for the bloom. As the strongest being in the world, Muzan's only weakness is the sun.
