Kyojuro Rengoku
The saddest Death of the Demon Slayer Universe belongs to none other than the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. The Flame Hashira took his last breath in the Demon Slayer movie “Mugen Train”. Rengoku gets badly injured while fighting Akaza and protecting Tanjiro.
1 Mitsuri Kanroji
She felt that only a man stronger than her could love her, so she worked hard to become a Hashira and meet the other Hashira, hoping her partner might be among them. Unfortunately, Mitsuri never got her wish. While battling with Muzan, she attacked viciously, losing both her arms in the process.
The energetic flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku didn't fear death, but his friends and companions all mourned deeply for him anyway.
Was his death really necessary? Sadly, it was a death that had to happen for the development of the protagonist and the plot of the demon slayers. Though his death left a major hole that might never be filled in the hearts of fans, it impacted the lives of the characters and the series.
Demon Slayer has peculiar characters with incredible strength, skill, and presence. But, among this group of eccentric people, Kyojuro Rengoku still stands out from his colleagues due to his upright and exceptional bright personality. Yet, his fiery hair is also one of the biggest reasons he stands out.
Akaza wanted to make Rengoku a demon so that they could fight for hundreds of years, so that they can both continue to grow stronger. Akaza genuinely admired Rengoku's strength, and was impressed with his skills. Despite that, he knew that Rengoku wouldn't realistically be able to defeat him as a human.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
It is later revealed in an extra chapter that he cries extremely easily at almost anything, even crying for something as minor as when the garbage is messy. He was taught by a fellow monk. Gyomei loves cats, a trait he has in common with the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji.
As the Flame Hashira - and a master of his own breathing technique - Rengoku lead by example for the newer Demon Slayers such as Tanjiro, which was a task Kyojuro took seriously. Even against terrible odds, he never stopped smiling and encouraging others.
8 Shinobu Kocho, The Insect Hashira
That being said, she's arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength.
Shinobu Kocho (The Insect Hashira) While we don't necessarily think Shinobu Kocho is physically weak by any means, we do believe that she is currently positioned at the bottom of the totem pole compared to her fellow Hashira members.
Sanemi's blood is known to be enticing yet intoxicating to Demons, which he used to bait and stab Nezuko. Sanemi is clearly the least popular Hashira among Demon Slayer fans.
Everyone knows that Shinobu is the kind insect Hashira with extensive knowledge of medicinal herbs. She injects the demons with her poisons, killing them with a smile. To fellow demon slayers, she comes off as cheerful, polite, and occasionally playful when she's teasing others.
Shinobu Kocho's tragic backstory is one of the most heart-wrenching in Demon Slayer. She and her sister, Kanae, were orphaned at a young age after their parents were killed by a demon.
8) Tengen Uzui
This makes him one of the weakest Hashiras, but his overall abilities as a swordsman is quite impressive.
Shinobu Kocho Is the Weakest Hashira
Of the three Hashira who were killed by Upper-Ranks -- Rengoku, Shinobu and Tokito -- Shinobu was the only one who was killed almost instantly when she encountered Doma, Upper-Rank Two.
The real reason Akaza hates Doma
In fact, this is the only reason he can't stand Doma's existence. Akaza doesn't get along with any of his peers, but he is unusually hostile toward Doma since most of the latter's power originates from consuming women.
Rengoku's Unwavering Will Was His Greatest Weakness
Since he believes it is his responsibility as someone strong to protect those weaker than him, he will make sure he does just that. Rengoku sees any mission through to the very end, even at the cost of his life.
Akaza. Because of his desire to become stronger and Doma's strength allowing him to surpass himself to become Upper Two, Akaza harboured an intense hatred of Doma.
