Zeus is uninterested in helping. Thor then kills Zeus using Zeus' own thunderbolt, which (frankly) feels like a bit of an overreaction. Yes, Zeus had him handcuffed, but killing him? Well, Zeus' death doesn't need to weigh on Thor's conscious because it turns out that Zeus somehow survived.
In the mid-credits scene, it's revealed that Zeus (Russell Crowe) survived after Thor blasted the Greek god's own lightning bolt through his chest.
In the mid-credits scene, Zeus is revealed to have survived from the attack. Recovering from his wounds, Zeus vows to get revenge on Thor and make people fear the gods with his son, Hercules.
For most of Thor: Love and Thunder's second half, viewers are led to believe that Zeus (Russell Crowe) was truly killed when he was impaled through the chest with his own lightning bolt by Thor. However, the mid-credits scene of Love and Thunder reveals that Zeus actually managed to survive his confrontation with Thor.
Kratos fought Zeus furiously and managed to deliver several powerful blows, as he stated he would kill Zeus for his actions. Enraged at his defiance, Zeus unleashed his full might on the vengeful warrior in the form of a deadly electrical storm. Kratos stabs Zeus with the Blade of Olympus.
Typhon attempted to overthrow Zeus for the supremacy of the cosmos. The two fought a cataclysmic battle, which Zeus finally won with the aid of his thunderbolts.
Hercules. Hercules possesses the greatest strength of all the Olympians and is stronger than even his father, Zeus. His strength exceeds that of most other powerful Marvel Comics icons, which he proved when he took away Mjölnir from a Thor clone in Civil War, one of the best Marvel Comics events.
Immortality: Like all other Olympians, Zeus is functionally immortal. He is immune to aging and has not aged since reaching adulthood. He cannot die by any conventional means.
Unlike the other Thor: Love and Thunder characters, Zeus has zero physical weaknesses, and he takes full advantage of this in the source material. Zeus has withstood a full blast from Galactus and has gotten struck by Mjolnir to no effect.
Odin has pretty clearly been shown to be demonstrable more powerful than the other gods. Odin's Odinforce has far outstripped anything Zeus's magical lightning bolts have ever done.
But in the first post-credits scene, Zeus is seen recovering and having a conversation with someone out of view who he has deemed will give him his best shot at revenge against Thor. Just who is Zeus talking to? None other than his son, Hercules, shockingly played by “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein.
In the final post-credit scene of Thor: Love and Thunder, a humiliated Zeus (Russell Crowe) plots his revenge against Thor and the other superheroes who take the worship due to gods. He sends them a god in the form of a hero with his son, Hercules, played by Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein.
In terms of abilities, Zeus is pretty much Thor as his main weapon was lightning as well as his strength. Only Thor is renowned to be less smart. Odin was a god of many things. In terms of role as King of the Gods though, they are the same.
Hercules' strength is rarely matched. There were times when he even overpowered the Incredible Hulk – a feat that not even Thor could complete. So, when it comes to physical strength, Hercules is the strongest. It was shown multiple times throughout comics.
Who Plays Love? Gorr's daughter is played by India Rose Hemsworth, the daughter of Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, and actress Elsa Pataky.
Zeus was confirmed to be apart of the MCU in the newest Marvel movie still in theatres today. As long as Thanos doesn't disturb Zeus' possessions of his, nor kill his more personally close gods he would not intervene as he simply does not care for mortal deaths or gods that he does not have a close relationship with.
In the theatrical cut of Love and Thunder, Zeus does not elect to help Thor in any way and tries to imprison the hero and his allies within Omnipotence City. Thor and his allies resist, however, and the God of Thunder impales Zeus with his own Thunderbolt before Valkyrie steals it to help in the battle against Gorr.
But once called out on his cowardice by Thor, he quietly admitted to being afraid of Gorr, as he wielded the Necrosword and was capable of killing all gods for good - but downplayed the threat in order to maintain his mighty image, as well as to not cause panic amongst his peers.
However, Big Mom later abandoned Zeus for good after he had struggled during the battle at Onigashima, replacing him with another homie named Hera. She attempted to remove her soul fragment from him, but he survived the ordeal by permanently fusing with Nami's Clima-Tact as a vessel.
In Greek mythology, Zeus is not killed at all. Zeus is king of the Greek gods and goddesses, a role he takes on after defeating his own father.
The post-credits scene reveals, however, that having died in battle, both he and Jane make it to the Norse version of heaven, Valhalla. The post-credits scenes also reveal that Russell Crowe's comically accented Greek god Zeus survived his apparent death too.
Gorr the God Butcher is a god-killer, having tortured and slain countless gods and immortals over his long life, which he bragged about in THOR: GOD OF THUNDER (2012) #4 as he tormented Thor.
Unlike the others, Zeus is not worthy to lift Mjolnir, but through a loophole, he can anyway. If Mjolnir is to enter his domain, Zeus's MCU powers should override Odin's enchantment, meaning he can hold Mjolnir. He may not be worthy, but technically Zeus is the fifth character who can lift Mjolnir in the MCU's Phase 4.
Because he represented death, Hades was the most feared of the Ancient Greek gods – some people even refused to say his name! Hades was aided in the underworld by his three headed dog, Cerberus.
There aren't many Marvel gods more powerful than Galactus.
