Arguably one of the most altruistic animal species around, dolphins have been known to help out others in need, including possible predators and even humans. A few years ago, a bottle nosed dolphin heeded the SOS calls of two beached whales in New Zealand and led them into safe waters.
The definition of generous brings a certain animal to mind—one who is “marked by ample proportions” and characterized by a “noble or kindly spirit.” That animal, if you haven't already guessed it, is an elephant.
Dog - Typifies loyalty, kinship, bravery, perseverance, and happiness and also conveys protection and reliability.
The heart symbol also has been a common feature on coats of arms. In such uses, the symbol can stand for many of the ideas we associate with hearts today, including love, valor, loyalty and kindness. Hearts can also carry a religious connotation, such as when they're depicted surrounded by flames or thorns.
Evolutionary biologists determined that an animal's behaviors are altruistic when they benefit other individuals, even to the potential detriment of themselves. Species with complex social structures like bees, ants and termites provide great examples of biological altruism.

The bond between an orangutan mother and her young is one of the strongest in nature.
Doves. These beautiful white birds have always been associated with peace and love. In fact, they are found in Christian, Jewish, Islamic, and Hindu religious texts. Turtle doves also symbolize fidelity.

Sheep/Lambs
