GENERATION Y OR THE MILLENNIALS: DIGITAL NATIVES
The revolution was shaped by the millennials or generation Y. Also known as digital natives, millennials are those born between 1982 and 1994 and technology is part of their everyday lives: all their activities are mediated by a screen.
Gen Z: Gen Z is the newest generation, born between 1997 and 2012. They are currently between 9 and 24 years old (nearly 68 million in the U.S.)

While commonly co-opted by those who were born in the late '90s and who have, until recently, identified as a child, most true '90s kids were actually born in the '80s. To be a '90s child, you must actually remember the '90s.
Generation Z (people born from 2000 up to the present day) have been raised with screens. Gen Z-ers have been saturated with advertising, are the most tech savvy and are very much influenced by vloggers and internet celebs.
Children born in the '90s are not '90s children. Those who were born in the latter half of the '80s and early '90s hold the right to the title “'90s kid.” Children born 1995 or later are children of the 2000s.

The 1980s, often remembered for its materialism and consumerism, also saw the rise of the "yuppie," an explosion of blockbuster movies and the emergence of cable networks like CNN and MTV, which introduced the music video and launched the careers of many iconic artists.

That is why the generations today each span 15 years with Generation Y (Millennials) born from 1980 to 1994; Generation Z from 1995 to 2009 and Generation Alpha from 2010 to 2024. And so it follows that Generation Beta will be born from 2025 to 2039.
They're called “digital natives”—the first generation to grow up with the internet as a part of daily life. The generation spans a wide range: the oldest Gen Zers have jobs and mortgages, while the youngest are still preteens.
It's pretty much self explanatory, 90s kids are the kids that grew up in the 1990s (1990–1999). A kid age range is from (5–12) 3–4 is considered a toddler so those born between 1984–1989 whole childhood was spent in the 1990s and they came of age in the following decade. They are classified as the true 90s kids.
The term 80s kid or 90s kid refers to somebody who's formative years were spent in that decade and most 80s kids were born in the 70s to have spent their childhood in the 80s. Someone born in 1980 wouldn't even really be aware until the mid-80s at the earliest.
Zillennials are nestled in the middle. While experts can't agree on an exact time frame, Deborah Carr, a professor of sociology and director of the Center for Innovation in Social Science at Boston University, told CNN she thinks "Zillennials" were born between 1992 and 2002.
Avery Hartmans, writing for Business Insider USA (based on a PYMNTS report) defines Zillennials as anyone born between 1990 and 2000. Ketchum Inc. defines GenZennials as those born from 1992 to 2000.
