People with inattentive ADHD make careless mistakes because they have difficulty sustaining focus, following detailed instructions, and organizing tasks and activities. Symptoms of Mood Swings in ADHD
Switching from excited one moment to sad, angry, or anxious the next. Fluctuating between having trouble paying attention and hyperfocusing on an activity. Having bursts of energy and fatigue through the day. Feeling emotions intensely and having difficulty regulating them.
Untreated, ADHD can interfere with a student's ability to succeed in school, driving them elsewhere to establish themselves and find 'positive' feedback. It also is associated with high impulsivity, a trait that increases the likeliness of both substance abuse and crime.
