The Qur'an describes how Allah created Adam: "We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape..." (15:26). And, "He began the creation of man from clay, and made his progeny from a quintessence of fluid" (32:7-8). Thus, human beings have a fundamental attachment to the earth.
Human beings have great status in Islam. They are honoured by God (Qur'an 17:70) and can act as God's vicegerents on earth (Qur'an: 2:30). They are endowed with reason and freewill and therefore are responsible for what they do.

23:14. "Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood, then of that clot we made a lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; the We developed out of it another creature."

He is created from a dried drop of blood which sticks to the womb: a cheap and unsophisticated substance. This reflects the grace and mercy of the Creator as much as it reflects His power.
Allah s.w.t says in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Ma'ida (5:3): " Forbidden to you (for food) are : dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine , and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah". This clearly insists that blood is prohibited to be consumed by the Muslim as it is considered to be filthy and harmful.
