Your teacher will show you how to find the radial, brachial, femoral and popliteal pressure points.
Common sites include the back of the head and ears, the shoulders, the elbows, the lower back and buttocks, the sit bones, the hips, the inner knees, and the heels. Pressure injuries may also form in places where the skin folds over itself. And they can occur where medical equipment puts pressure on the skin.
Although there is no consensus on the full spectrum of forbidden points,3 those most frequently cited as contraindicated throughout pregnancy (at least before 37 weeks) are SP6, LI4, BL60, BL67, GB21, LU7, and points in the lower abdomen (eg, CV3–CV7) and sacral region (eg, BL27–34).

Bai Hui is the topmost acupoint on the body and translates to “hundred meetings point”. It is also known as Du 20 or Governing Vessel 20.
The 13 Ghost Points come from an ancient and esoteric practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine and were developed as a systematic approach to treat mental and neurological disorders believed to be due to spiritual possession.
2. Energizing Acupressure Points. Apply firm but gentle pressure with your fingers to the Zusanli acupressure point – (also called Stomach 36). This point is used in acupuncture and acupressure to increase energy as well as being helpful for digestive problems (and a whole lot more).
Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT) is a quick way to help remove emotions from our nervous system. In EFT, there are acupressure “tapping” points on the fingers, just next to the nail, but not the fatty bit, on the side of the finger closest to the thumb.
When used correctly, acupressure seems like sort of a one stop shop for energy wellness. However, there is not much scientific research supporting the blind use of acupressure. Only a few studies have shown that it can be used to reduce pain or nausea, but not a conclusive amount, and not extraordinarily well.
To find the Hegu point , locate the webbed area between the thumb and index finger. Then move the fingers slightly down so that they are between the base of the thumb and index finger. Acupressure devotees say that Hegu can help with: anxiety.
Pressure Point Extra-1 (Yin Tang) Pressure point Extra-1 is also called Yin Tang. It is at the midpoint (the center) between your eyebrows (see Figure 1). Doing acupressure on this point can help with stress and anxiety.
Dr Kutteri shares some of the most effective acupressure points for good health and weight loss: * The fat-burning point is 1.5inches below the navel. * To relieve constipation, the point is 2 inches below the navel and 2 inches on either side of the midline.
Sensitive areas of tight muscle fibers can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse. These sensitive areas are called trigger points. A trigger point in a muscle can cause strain and pain throughout the muscle. When this pain persists and worsens, doctors call it myofascial pain syndrome.
A trigger point is a small, tight area in the taut band of muscle fibers and fascia, which restricts blood flow to the area and causes pain. Also known as contraction knots, trigger points become so tight, in fact, that they can be felt underneath the skin.
Lower abdominal points: It's wise to avoid the lower abdomen, as it's possible to insert the needle too deep, stimulating the uterus. This area includes acupuncture points CV3 to CV7.
4 doors are a set of points on the abdomen that consists of RN12 (zhong wan), ST25 (tian shu), and RN6 (qi hai). The 4 points surround the umbilicus. RN12 is on the midline of the body, 4 cun above the umbilicus. RN6 is also on the midline of the body, 1.5 cun below the umbilicus.
The Conception Vessel 6 pressure point is located three finger widths below the belly button, also known as the umbilicus. This is one of the most important pressure points that can help strengthen and nourish your body's core.
Massage the point for one to two minutes. Focus on nothing else except massaging the point while applying acupressure. Close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths. Repeat acupressure as often as you would like.
Pressing these acupoints can help your muscles relax and improve your blood flow. It can also help with many common side effects of chemotherapy, such as pain and headaches. You can do acupressure at home by using your fingers to put pressure on different acupoints.
