These five symbiotes are named Agony, Phage, Scream, Lasher, and Riot, with Riot sharing many of Venom's powers while being the most powerful of the five
These were cultured and bonded to five of the Life Foundation's best security personnel to form the Guardians: Donna Diego (Scream), Carl Mach (Phage), Leslie Gesneria (Agony), Trevor Cole (Riot), and Ramon Hernandez (Lasher). In the comics none of the five symbiotes were originally given names.
Venom aside, the comic has five major symbiote characters. Let's talk about who they are, and which ones you might see in the movie. So far, it's clear that at least two of the five symbiotes will appear in Venom, while a third has been switched for another symbiotic character.
Early on in his career as a "lethal protector," Venom was captured by Carlton Drake's Life Foundation and had five samples of his costume taken and turned into new symbiotes. Four of those symbiotes - Riot, Lasher, Phage and Agony - are grouped together here.
While in prison, Venom produces an offspring named Carnage. (He reproduces asexually, in case you were wondering.) Venom doesn't tell Eddie about it, and Venom and Eddie escape prison. Once they're gone, Carnage bonds with Cletus.
The bond between the Carnage symbiote and Kasady was stronger than the bond between Brock and the Venom symbiote. Cletus Kasady was also a serial killer and thought of as insane. As a result, Carnage is far more violent, powerful, and deadly than Venom.
Blue Symbiote (2) (Agony): In the comics Agony was one of the symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom alongside several others by the Life Foundation.
Following it giving birth to Toxin, Cletus began affectionately referring to the Carnage symbiote using female pronouns. He has more recently reverted to referring to it with male pronouns.
In the comics — and the 2021 movie — it's pretty clearly established that on a baseline level, Carnage is indisputably more powerful than Venom.
In the trailer, the Venom symbiote expressed reluctance about fighting him after noticing that Carnage is a “red one,” which suggests that red symbiotes are naturally more powerful than all other members of his species.
Knull, also known as the God of the Symbiotes, is one of the overarching antagonists in the Marvel Comics universe, serving as the main antagonist of the Venom comic book series.
Symbrock is the non-binary ship between the Venom Symbiote and Eddie Brock from the Venom and Marvel comic fandoms.
The Hybrid Symbiote was considered the strongest of the Venom-spawn created at the Life Foundation. It was created after the Symbiote Scream destroyed the other four Life Foundation creations Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.
Why is Carnage so powerful? The Venom symbiote eventually found Eddie and reunited with him, unknowingly leaving behind its offspring. This offspring eventually bonded to Kasady's blood through a small cut, making the Carnage symbiote have its red appearance, which resulted in Carnage being more powerful than Venom.
They rapidly age the symbiotes and pair them to people: Scream (yellow, female), Agony (pink, female), Lasher (green, male), Riot (grey, male) and Phage (orange, male).
Yellow Symbiote (1) (Scream): In the comics Scream was one of the symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom alongside several others by the Life Foundation. For a time she served as an enemy of both Venom and Spider-Man, but she was eventually killed by Eddie Brock.
Toxin is a red and black symbiote.
Inside is the Venom-X weapon, which is a type of sticky grenade launcher.
Originating as an offspring of Venom, Carnage is much more powerful than its parent symbiote because of the symbiotes' biology, and is in many ways a darker version of him.
The spawn of the Venom symbiote then attached itself to Kasady through his bloodstream. Carnage achieves this by entering Kasady's body through a cut on his hand. This is the reason why Carnage appears as the colour red, as he entered through the bloodstream, which is of course red.
Marvel just rewrote Spider-Man history, revealing that the Venom symbiote was never evil - and it was Peter Parker who played the villain. Venom is one of Spider-Man's most infamous villains, but the original story claiming the alien symbiote was inherently evil isn't the truth.
Birth. Born from Carnage as the 1000th symbiote in its lineage, "Toxin" was feared to be the strongest and most dangerous of their race by both Carnage and Venom besides Knull. Shortly after being born, the symbiote united with police officer Pat Mulligan.
If Venom is the weakest symbiote, how does he always defeat the other sybiotes? (pls no spoiler from the movie) Because sometimes you don't have to be stronger to win the fight. For example in the 1st movie, he blew it up in a space ship. He didn't overpower it.
