Silver kryptonite causes
The term silver refers to a precious metal commonly used in the production of jewelry, coins, electronics, and photography. It has the highest electrical conductivity of any metal and is, therefore, a highly valuable substance.
Powers and Abilities
A small amount of Silver Kryptonite induced intense hallucinations and paranoia in Clark Kent.
So, what does Silver Kryptonite do to Superman? Silver Kryptonite is an artificial type of Kryptonite that causes many effects on Kryptonians, but mostly paranoia, hallucinations, anxiety, and extreme hunger. It doesn't take away Superman's powers but clearly slows down his healing speed.
There was Red Kryptonite, which caused aggressive and odd behavior, White Kryptonite that killed plants, Blue Kryptonite which affected Bizarro Kryptonians, Red-Gold to remove memories, Black which split people into good and evil selves, Jewel, Magno, Anti, X…you name it.
Gold kryptonite. Gold Kryptonite is a rare form of Kryptonite that can negate a Kryptonian's healing factor under a yellow sun, and can potentially remove their powers forever. It is sometimes colloquially referred to as "Gold K".
Platinum Kryptonite was a variant of Kryptonite which had the effect of permanently bestowing the full range of Kryptonian super-powers to non-powered humanoids.
Black Kryptonite. Black Kryptonite is a form of refined Kryptonite that can separate the personalities of a single being into two separate beings. This Kryptonite is created by heating Green Kryptonite to extremely high temperatures.
White Kryptonite kills any and all plant life that it comes into contact with. If Poison Ivy knew that you were carrying White Kryptonite, she would do all in her power to bring you to your untimely, plant-killing end. So we recommend not juggling the White Kryptonite any time soon!
Blue kryptonite suppressed Clark's powers, at least for a time. During the effects, Clark was also immune to the symptoms of green kryptonite. The blue kryptonite was forged into Jor-El's victory ring which was presented to him when he first became a member of the Kryptonian Science Council.
Gold Kryptonite.
One of the rarest forms of kryptonite, Gold is used to completely strip Kryptonians from their powers and turn them into regular beings. Although it is not deadly to Kryptonians, it does destroy their ability to process the yellow Sun, rendering them powerless.
Purple Kryptonite
The effect of this kryptonite is hypnotic, and it can control the minds of anyone nearby, and Lena Luthor used it to create purple Kryptomites.
Pink Kryptonite is a fictional element that was first introduced in the world of comics as a way to subvert the traditional power dynamics of the Superman universe. Unlike traditional Kryptonite, which weakens and harms Kryptonians, Pink Kryptonite has the power to alter their sexual orientation and turn them gay.
Blue Kryptonite strips super-powered Kryptonians of all their abilities, making them mortal and, thus, susceptible to damage and pain as with any human. It is possible that the substance does this by turning off the manifestation of genes that allow Kryptonians to process sunlight while in contact with it.
Silver kryptonite causes Kryptonians to suffer from altered perceptions, loss of inhibitions and extreme hunger cravings. On the Supergirl TV series, this kryptonite causes Superman to hallucinate his "greatest fear" of an attacking General Zod during the final episode of season 2, "Nevertheless, She Persisted".
Gold Kryptonite has the ability to permanently strip a Kryptonian of their powers, essentially making Superman just a regular man. In some instances, the effects were also irreversible. Gold Kryptonite is dangerous for Supes and Kryptonians but does not affect others.
Orange kryptonite provides super-abilities to any animal that comes into contact with it for 24 hours, after which the power fade. In the story titled “The Purr-fect crime,” Isis and Snooky Wookums have stolen orange kryptonite, giving them temporary super powers.
Orange Kryptonite's power only affects animals. It can give them superpowers greater than Superman or Krypto. However the powers only last for 24 hours and then they wear off.
Orange kryptonite – Orange kryptonite can grant super powers. Jewel kryptonite – Jewel kryptonite enhances psychic powers. Periwinkle kryptonite – This form of kryptonite creates a loss of inhibitions. Platinum kryptonite – Platinum kryptonite can give humans super powers.
Red Kryptonite was once Green Kryptonite that passed through a mysterious red-hued cloud en route to Earth. Red Kryptonite inflicts random effects on Kryptonians, typically creating an initial "tingling effect" in those affected.
Blue Kryptonite was harmless to Superman and to humans but affected Bizarros dramatically. Essentially, the effects were the same as the effects of Green Kryptonite on Superman. It caused incredible pain, crippling Bizarros. Longer exposures could cause more serious damage, even death.
The Periwinkle Kryptonite is colored purple. It can also turn Superman's skin purple and turn the prude boy scout into a party animal. The purple rock removes his inhibitions (like alcohol). Once exposed, all he wants to do is get on the dance floor, usually with Lois Lane.
Jewel Kryptonite was created from the remnants of Krypton's Jewel Mountains. It allowed the Phantom Zoners to heighten and focus their low-level mental abilities in order to affect the universe outside of the Phantom Zone. Jewel Kryptonite was a variant of Kryptonite.
Smallville. Clark Luthor sported an "L" shaped scar on his forearm which was created by Lex Luthor using gold kryptonite.
Pink Kryptonite does indeed exist in the DC Universe. However, whether it is considered “canon” is a topic of hot debate. This is because the substance doesn't feature in the “prime” Superman timeline. But any true DC or Marvel fan knows that comic book reality is malleable.
