There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
This catchy tract explains that there are three things God cannot do: He cannot lie, He cannot change, and He cannot allow sinners into heaven.
Hebrews 11:16 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him".
Since God does not desire any sacrifice, Jesus cannot be a sacrifice for sins. Quoting Hosea, Jesus says: “Go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice. '” (Matthew 9:13).
Romans 8:7-9 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Give the Sacrifice God Wants. “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased” (Hebrews 13:15-16).
We could try pleasing Him with good works, an exemplary life, loving people, but scripture is very clear that it is faith demonstrated that pleases God. Believing that which we do not see, yet expect and totally convinced of that which may not be a reality in our lives right now (Heb 11:1), living that out.
As he wills that all Men should obey him, so he wills that they should all be saved; because there is an inseparable Connection between Obedience and Salvation, and the one implies the other. Thus we are told, Act. 17. 30.
Psalm 51:16-17
Then David adds that God does not “delight in sacrifice” or “burnt offerings.” Yet there is a sacrifice that is pleasing to the Lord. “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise” (51:17).
Misotheism is the "hatred of God" or "hatred of the gods" (from the Greek adjective misotheos (μισόθεος) "hating the gods" or "God-hating" – a compound of, μῖσος, "hatred" and, θεός, "god").
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
While faith without hope is possible, hope without faith is not. Thus faith is not sufficient for hope. Some argued that (4) individuals have hope because they have faith. Such as might have this view are asked to consider that people have faith because they have hope.
Hebrews 11:6
"And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."
Nothing is too hard or difficult for God. The Word of God declares that when you believe God in your situation, all things become possible to him that believes.
We cannot hope to appease God by working our way into righteousness, nor sacrificing others for our own sin. Instead, Micah listed out the three principles of what God asks of His people: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with Him.
While we may not always know what God has planned for our lives, we can focus on these three things that God wants us to do and trust that He will guide us in the direction He has planned for our lives. So, let's make it our priority to love God, love others, and share the Gospel with those around us.
Taking on the duties of another in kindness is a form of sacrifice. God sent Jesus to be a perfect sacrifice for your sins. Scripture says, “But our High Priest (Jesus) offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time.
Jesus, our supreme sacrifice, offered Himself up once to put away sin forever. “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.” (Hebrews 10:12) He has made the Old Covenant obsolete and has given us a “New Covenant.”
These five sacrifices elaborate one's socio-ecological responsibilities are such as: (1) Rrushi Yajnya- (sacrifices for the source of knowledge - teachers), (2) Pitru Yajnya (responsibility for the parents, ancestors and self genetic system), (3) Deva Yajnya (protection for the environmental powers as Gods), (4) Bhoota ...
The revelation to John supports Matthew 8:11, which says that many will come from every corner of the earth to sit with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The number 144,000 that were sealed or chosen are not pre-chosen. The number 12 itself is symbolic.
God is Inclusive in His Choosing
God chooses Israel and ultimately Jesus, and this results in the exact opposite of God favoring one group to the exclusion of all others. Instead, God works out his plan to extend his love to all the world through one group or individual.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.
* Love her Lord with ALL of her heart (Matthew 22:37). * Walk worthy of her calling (Ephesians 4:1-3). * Train the younger women to fulfill the Titus 2 mandate so that God's Word will not be discredited (Titus 2:3-5).
(Romans 12:1–2) For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable [well pleasing] to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. (Romans 14:17–19)
