A TV-Y rating means that programming is appropriate for children of all ages. TV-Y7 indicates that programming is designed for chil- dren ages 7 and older. An additional rating, TV-Y7-FV, is used to indicate that a program contains “fantasy violence” that may be more intense or combative than other TV-Y7 programs.
The R-rating doesn't ban children under 17 from a movie, it restricts them to watching it with a parent or guardian (and includes a recommendation that parents and guardians learn more before allowing their child to see the movie).
R: Restricted, Children Under 17 Require Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian. This rating means the film contains adult material such as adult activity, harsh language, intense graphic violence, drug abuse and nudity.
MPAA. Rated PG for some thematic elements and mild peril.
15 – for 15 year-olds and over
No one younger than 15 can go and see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video, DVD or download.
Mature (M)
M-rated films and computer games are not recommended for children under the age of 15. They include portrayals of elements such as violence and themes that require a mature outlook. However, children under the age of 15 may legally access this material as the classification rating is an advisory category.
A film with a 'U' certificate means it's suitable for children aged 4 and older. The 'U' itself stands for Universal and the text underneath the 'U' rating states that it's suitable for all, as this is the age that most children begin to remember things such as film and TV.
Moana is rated PG by the MPAA for peril, some scary images and brief thematic elements. Violence: Characters face perilous situations on the sea: They are occasionally knocked overboard, shipwrecked and abandoned, as well as face turbulent weather.
Moana isn't suitable for children under the age of 8 years. We recommend parental guidance for children aged up to 10 years because of the movie's violent and scary scenes.
Disney Pixar's Coco is rated PG for “thematic events.” Well, that doesn't explain a whole lot.
A B movie or B film is a low-budget commercial motion picture. In its original usage, during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the term more precisely identified films intended for distribution as the less-publicized bottom half of a double feature (akin to B-sides for recorded music).
Rated PG-13: Parents strongly cautioned – Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. Rated R: Restricted – Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. Rated NC-17: Adults Only – No one 17 and under admitted.
Despite the scary, disturbing and otherwise crass content present in the Netflix original series, “Stranger Things,” the show still holds a TV-14 rating.
Children under high school age may not watch an R rated movie without their parent staying to watch the same movie.
Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian over the age of 21 for R-rated movies. I.D. is required for proof of age. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted into R-rated features at all.
Ok for 14+ (if mature)
Has A LOT of inappropriate and extremely mature content especially at the complete end of the film. Best for older teens and adults, but mature 14/15 year olds can watch it.
Good family movie with good life lessons but probably too unsettling for under 11. This is a good family movie for parents with kids who are pre-teens. The language is typical PG one or two s-words, one GD and a couple hells and damns. Nothing too overwhelming.
MPAA has five rating categories
The new ratings system began with four categories: G (general audiences), M (mature audiences, changed in 1969 to PG, parental guidance suggested), R (restricted, no children under 17 allowed without parents or adult guardians), and X (no one under 17 admitted).
But because of the war and battle violence in this movie, it isn't suitable for children under 10 years. We also recommend parental guidance for children aged 10-13 years. Mulan (2020) has strong messages about the strength and bravery you need to break free from gender-based cultural norms and stereotypes.
A More Mature Future for Disney+
But it has a whole lot of subsidiary studios—especially since acquiring Fox. Currently, the first R-rated movies are making their way onto Disney+. And it certainly looks like the Mouse House streamer will continue to branch out.
Logan and the two Deadpool movies, both known for their strong violence and language, are now streaming on Disney+.
What is Encanto Rated? Encanto is rated PG for some thematic elements and mild peril according to the MPAA which means it may not be suitable for all children.
K+: Some content may not be suitable for young children, usually those below nine years of age. There may be minor violence without serious injury, mild suggestive material, or minor coarse language that is justified by context.
The battery C Rating is the measurement of current in which a battery is charged and discharged at. The capacity of a battery is generally rated and labelled at the 1C Rate (1C current), this means a fully charged battery with a capacity of 10Ah should be able to provide 10 Amps for one hour.
The Big 'A' - Stands for 'Adults Only', which obviously prohibits anybody under the age of 18 to watch the film in theatres. The Big 'S' - Stands for 'Restricted to special classes', which means only a certain members of the society, such as doctors, scientists, etc, are permitted to watch the film.
