The Government Age Pension is an income support payment to help eligible older Australians afford their basic living expenses in retirement. More than 60% of Australians over the age of 65 receive extra income from the Government Age Pension.
Introduction. If you're a pensioner currently receiving support through Centrelink, you may be eligible for extra help with bills and medicine costs through the Pension Supplement. This supplement is a combined payment of Pharmaceutical Allowance, Utilities Allowance, GST Supplement and Telephone Allowance.

You can get up to $600 for each person you provide care for. You won't be eligible for Carer Supplement if you get Age Pension. But you will get Carer Supplement for each person you get Carer Allowance for.
Pensioner households will receive an extra £300 Pensioner Cost of Living Payment this year to help them cover the rising cost of energy this winter. If you are entitled to a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2022 to 2023, you will get this extra £300 paid with your normal payment from November 2022.
Lower-income pensioners who claim pension credit will receive the money in addition to the £650 support for those on benefits. This means a small group of pensioners with disabilities will receive a total of £1,500.
You and your partner must have no more than $5,000 in combined readily available funds. This includes any liquid assets you can sell. Liquid assets include cash you have on hand, money you have in the bank and financial investments you have.
For example, if you are a single homeowner you can get a full pension with an asset limit of $270,500. As a couple with a home and combined assets your limit is reached at $405,000 to receive a full pension.

From today (23 November 2022), over 11.6 million pensioners in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will start to receive payments of up to £600 to help with their energy bills this winter.
One-off payments
This year (2022-23), you may also be entitled to one or more lump-sum payments. These are: a £300 Pensioner Cost of Living Payment for households that receive the Winter Fuel Payment. This is a top-up to your Winter Fuel Payment in November/December.
There is no need to apply for it and all people need to qualify is to be over the state pension age of 66 in the qualifying week of 19 to 25 September 2022 and to be in receipt of the WFP.
