The thyroid represents the essential aspect of a human being. It is through our throat that we express our inner most strength of will, ability to follow our dreams and to share out inner most desires of the heart.

Foods for Throat Chakra
For the throat chakra, think healing and soothing foods and liquids such as coconut water, herbal teas, raw honey, and lemon. Fruit that grows on trees such as apples, pears, and plums are also known to be excellent at healing this chakra.

An overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) makes you sweat more, feel hot, lose weight, or makes your heart beat faster. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) does the opposite. Also, a certain amount of thyroid hormones are attached to transport proteins in the blood. If the body needs more hormones, T3 and T4 can be released from the proteins in the blood and do their job.

Being able to talk openly and honestly—but with care and concern for others—is a gift to all your relationships.
The Throat Chakra mantra is "Ham,” pronounced Ha-n-gm. Chanting this mantra, either aloud or internally, can help stimulate and balance this energy center, allowing for clearer communication and self-expression.
The Vishuddha Chakra is located at the throat, and it is associated and closely connected with the thyroid gland. You might be familiar with the fact that the thyroid gland affects mental and physical development and regulates metabolism.
Some essential oils that are believed to help balance the Throat Chakra include peppermint, lavender, chamomile, eucalyptus, and tea tree. These oils can be diffused, applied topically, or added to a bath to help calm and balance the Throat Chakra, allowing for clearer communication and self-expression.
When the throat chakra is underactive you may feel: Suppressed feelings. Fear of expression. Fear of offending others. Shyness/weak voice.
