Gold and copper to brighten your eyes.
If you have blue eyes choose warm colors like bronze, terracotta brown, and deep grey; if you have green eyes go for purple hues like violet and mauve; if you have brown eyes use neutral tints like gold, salmon, and silver; and if you have hazel eyes choose a mix of neutral and purple colors.
Neutral and pink colored eye shadows also make you look younger. Neutrals will also complement your everyday look without making you feel that you have over done your makeup, whether you are in the office or college.
Red undertones: Red is directly across from green on the color wheel, so any eyeshadow palette with red hues, like maroon, coral-orange, or pinkish-red, will accentuate green eyes.
The brown eye is complimented by nearly every shade in the color wheel from green and gold to blue and purple. The cooler the shade you choose, like blue, grey or green, the more your eye color will be highlighted.
Make purple eyeshadow one of your go-to shades – the color contrasts with brown, so it instantly makes your eyes pop. Purple eye makeup is surprisingly wearable, whether you opt for a sultry violet eyeliner pencil or a quick purple smokey eye.
Avoid using black eyeshadow or the darker grays on dark brown eyes which can make dark brown eyes 'disappear'. Stick to lighter shades of brown eyeshadow unless you have light brown eyes or hazel brown eyes. Use a cool eyeshadow palette to create drama – so blue, green, or yellow eyeshadow.
Avoid dark colours
Opt for lighter cream eyeshadow shades, such as champagne and cream, as well as soft shimmers to help bring your eyes to life. Highlighter will help too.
Browns, golds and greens will instantly enhance the richness of hazel, bronzes are dreamy for bringing out the warmth and purples provide a gorgeous contrast to your eye colour.
Navy blue, sky blue, and aquamarine are particular favorites of seniors. Blue is a restful color with a calming effect. Blues can also instill trust and confidence. Soft blues connect to the spiritual or reflective mood.
Opt for a lighter eyeshadow rather than a dark, smoky shade on your eyelids and around the eyes, like Jenna Dewan Tatum. "Highlighting the corners makes eyes look brighter and fresh," says Ahnert. "Use a light color shadow in matte or shimmer to inner corner, lower lash line in outer corner, and the inner lid."
I've said it before and I'll say it again, bronze shadows are the queens of eyeshadows, mainly because they suit everyone, whatever your age, skin tone or eye colour. There are so many different shades and finishes in the bronze category, so your best bet is to buy an eyeshadow palette in the bronze colour spectrum.
Complementary Colors
Most of us know that to make our eyes pop, we should choose an eyeshadow color that complements our eyes' shade. For example, blue eyes are best with brown and bronze, greens are best with deep purples, and browns are stunning when highlighted by blue shades.
They are regarded as one of the most attractive eye hues and are seen to be incredibly gorgeous. Hazel eyes are seen as being both enigmatic and seductive. They have very distinctive eye colors and are admired for their beauty. Hazel eyes are also said to be very expressive and can reveal a person's genuine emotions.
“Purples, pinks, burgundies, and cranberries bring out the green tones in hazel eyes,” says Nelson.

Use light and dark colors for depth.
Enhance hooded eyelids by using light shades on your center lids and blending dark shades in the outer corner of your eyes. For a more dramatic eye look, create a cut crease, which uses lighter shades on the eyelid and darker shades along the crease.
If you have brown eyes, blue, green, and purple liners will make them pop, though jet black can also be flattering. For hazel eyes, purple, green, gray, and taupe are all excellent choices.
Brown eyes look great with mascara that offsets their naturally warm undertones. We love a cool-toned violet mascara, like Black Cherry, to really make brown eyes pop. The deep purple color is super pigmented and instantly lifts and brightens even the darkest brown eyes.
