Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model, as well as in the RGB colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The term blue generally describes colors perceived by humans observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres.
Skywalker lightsaber. Anakin Skywalker carried this blue-bladed Jedi weapon throughout the Clone Wars. After dueling his former apprentice on Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin's lightsaber and kept it on Tatooine for nearly two decades.
Carried by Anakin Skywalker (22–19 BBY) Anakin Skywalker wielded a blue-colored lightsaber during his career as a Jedi Knight.
In the earlier part of his life, Anakin wielded the distinctive blue lightsaber of the Jedi. Anakin's blue lightsaber was put to good use in service of the Jedi cause during the Clone Wars. In the latter portion of his life, as the dreaded Darth Vader, he carried the red lightsaber associated with the Sith.
Anakin's lightsaber was blue at the beginning of episode II, but then it got sliced in half in the factory scene. When the Jedi came to rescue them, they tossed him a spare, which happened to be green. He lost that lightsaber when he was disarmed (literally).
Lightsaber Colors Used to Matter
A brief who's who of users with blue lightsabers includes Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen, pre-youngling slayer), Shaak Ti, and Count Dooku (Christopher Lee, pre-dark side/ass handed to him by Yoda).
Anakin Skywalker's first lightsaber was the first lightsaber owned and built by Anakin Skywalker. It had a blue plasma blade, chunky controls, and thick ridges on the handle.
Relatively recently, Star Wars canon established that the reason a red lightsaber is red is because the crystal bleeds after the user does something really, really bad. Meaning, your lightsaber can change colors, and Rey's has changed colors because she's done something bad enough to cause the crystal to bleed.
Kylo Ren, the dark side persona of Ben Solo, altered his lightsaber to suit his new preferences as a dark Force-user, changing his Jedi weapon into a red-bladed Sith lightsaber.
A crystal embodies the Jedi as the heart of the lightsaber, and pure kyber has no color until it's bonded to the Force user. This process likely resulted in Rey Skywalker's lightsaber being yellow.
This can be seen in the novel starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rogue_Planet. It's because of his mastery of sorsue (sorry for my bad spelling.) Well if you want the ACTUAL reason it because in the original 3 films the Green Light Sabre didn't exist until after Obi Wans death.
Luke Skywalker's lightsaber was changed from blue to green when they were filming because it was difficult to see. This became apparent during act one of Return of the Jedi when the battle on Jabba the Hutt's sail barge was shot during the day. The blue lightsaber blended in with the clear blue sky.
After pledging himself to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, Anakin Skywalker took the name Darth Vader but continued to use the blue-bladed lightsaber he'd fought with during the Clone Wars. He lost this weapon on Mustafar and constructed a replacement with the crimson blade favored by the Sith.
Purple itself is considered the most powerful lightsaber color in the Star Wars galaxy. Very few Jedi have ever wielded a lightsaber of this color. The only two people known to have wielded a purple lightsaber are Mace Windu and Darth Revan in the past.
Black is the rarest lightsaber color in the world of Star Wars. For a while, the only known black lightsaber was the Darksaber, forged a thousand years ago and owned by a Mandalorian Jedi. However, the High Republic era revealed that at least one more Jedi had a black lightsaber.
Without a doubt, the most notable Jedi with a purple saber is Mace Windu, portrayed in the prequel trilogy by Samuel L. Jackson. Audiences first got a glimpse of the unusual blade in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, making Windu the coolest Jedi in one cinematic moment.
He is known for carrying a blue lightsaber, but there is one canonical instance of Obi-Wan using a red lightsaber. In the season four finale of the 2008 animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” titled “Revenge,” Maul and Savage Opress overpower Kenobi and take his lightsaber.
Even though Kylo Ren uses a red lightsaber, harnesses the dark side of the Force, and wears a cape, he is not a Sith. Because of that, he can never hold the title of Darth. Instead, he was just a chaotic mess of the dark side (until he eventually found his way back to the light).
Leia's lightsaber was a blue-bladed lightsaber used by Princess Leia Organa during her time as a Jedi Padawan training under her brother Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.
Green lightsabers have been wielded by a number of famous Jedi including Master Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Luke Skywalker. In Return of the Jedi, Luke's lightsaber color switched from blue to green, possibly representing his development as a skilled Jedi warrior.
However, Obi-Wan used a blue blade throughout his career (it'll appear in his Disney Plus show later this month) and Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber, which passed between the central characters of the saga (from Anakin to Luke to Rey, via Finn), was blue.
Ahsoka Tano is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Introduced as the 14-year-old Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker in 2008, she is a supporting character in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) and the subsequent animated television series (2008–2014; 2020).
While Bane commenced with negotiations with Palpatine, Padmé attempted to rescue the hostages, but being unarmed, he was brought down. Bound and thrown in with the Senators, she was able to retrieve her lightsaber from Naberrie.
